i started the process with Zach from best grips and at first i wasnt sure what i wanted on the shoe, then it came to me, heres the story, i have this plaque that i had done when i was stationed in England while in the Air Force, it is a coat of arms for my family name, so i asked Zach if he could do it and after a long process, we came up with the leather and the look. this is also the very first product from BestGrips that includes both embroidery and laser etching, and i think it is right on the money, he even used the old english D for the lettering in my last name, we never talked about the font for the lettering, but that is the exact lettering i would have chosen, excellent job with this one Zach, and to top it off i also received 2 Masters edition leather grips, sweet. and i love the smell f the brand new leather.

Really like the tan grip...I just installed the "masters" grip on my driver and love it. Put the black pistol grip on my putter, but now wish I had gone with the MLB tan.

What Lefty does not know, is those were the last two official Infielder tan products. We will be using a much richer tan in the future, like this...

thats even better. i used to play a baseball, even tried out for some minor league teams when i was younger, so any leather of that type is really cool, i like the new new tan as well, both just remind me of baseball, it reminds me as a youngster when i would get a new ball glove (i have had only 3 in my entire life, so it was special to get a new one), the smell of the leather is awesome, it just takes me back.

They do top quality work and Zach just seems to find those little details that push each piece over the top. I get all kinds of comments and questions on the cover he did for me....all flattering as you would have guessed.

i put one of the masters grips on my 5 wd. the other is going to eventually be placed on the 3 wd. probably today, since its been raining the last 2 days and i cant play anyway. if these go well, i will probably replace all next season with some new BestGrips,
