2016 Franklin Templeton Shootout

Well, it's cold outside and no golf today so I checked the schedule and the Franklin Templeton Shootout starts in 5 minutes.  At least I can watch golf!!  I just checked the leaderboard and Jerry Kelly/Steve Stricker are -10 after 11 holes!!  Wow!  These guys always play well together.  Why is that?  Is it a Minnesota thing?

 

EDIT:  Sorry, I meant Wisconsin.  I was thinking of all the MGS guys in Minnesota when I posted this.

The old guys have got some game that just mesh well together.  Not crazy long but Jerry is pretty good with his irons and Stricker is a short game wizard.  I bet they'd be fun to play with.

 

Love that Lexi is playing this week too.  I'd actually like to see more LPGA stars partner up with a PGA pro in these types of events.

Like you said Kenny, if I can't play right now at least I can't watch!

 

And watching DeChambeau making a couple long putts side saddle is pretty interesting...

The old guys, Stricker and Kelley, really put it to the young'ens.  Tomorrow will be the key day... modified alternate shot.

The old guys are still hanging in there with Kuchar and English.  Seems to be a 2 team race unless another team shoots a record round tomorrow.  Better ball, so it could happen.

Was able to get some tickets and go to the event. Tons of fun to walk around and enjoy the course. A bit of a cold day here in Naples today, but still better than up north. Nice to see the changes they made to the course this summer from when I played it last summer.
