College Football Playoffs

A few observations following last night.

 

Virginia Tech is going to be VERY good next season. They gave "Clempson" all they wanted in the ACC championship game. Suffered through a few questionable performances earlier in the season but that is to be expected for a new coaching staff.

 

The ACC as a whole is significantly better than in years past while the SEC is top heavy and not nearly as dominant after the top 3 or 4 teams.

 

Lamar Jackson is a tremendous athlete but highly overrated as a QB. Can't turn it over that easily and expect to play at the next level.

 

I will be pulling for the ACC in the title game.

I'm sitting here sipping on a frosty mug of Guiness beer watching the Southern Cal & Penn State game. Guess what commercial just came on....

I guess SC and Penn State both flunked defense class this year.  Most points scored in Rose Bowl history... 101

PSU is young on the defensive side of the ball and injuries killed them this year.  Best part for the program is that they are returning 18 starters next season including Barkley and Godwin.  I can see Barkley winning a Heisman before his days are done if he can get enough touches.  His 79 yard run last night was a thing of beauty.

As a buckeye fan I do not look forward to seeing penn state the next few years
