Jiro
I took up astronomy last year as a new hobby. I have small kids so it's a good hobby for after the kids go to bed. Got a small 8" dobsonian off of Craigslist and have been making improvements to it over the year. My other hobby is reading, so been reading some intro to astrophysics books recently to go with the new hobby--basic layperson books for the masses--no equations or anything to put you to sleep. dang3rtown
I am a man of leisure. Career wise, I own a gym and have competed in power lifting, olympic style weightlifting and general fitness competitions. I usually coach one class a day and work out/lift weights for another two. It's a job but it's what I would be doing anyways. I also do the usual, "California" things. I surf, paddle board, free dive/spear fishing and sail. I don't do as much ocean sports now because I moved to Sacramento and it's a sold hour plus drive to the ocean. At home, I am a coffee fanatic, I brew beer, I have dabbled in distilling spirits, I am a crappy but enthusiastic wood worker (I try to build furniture, it is not suitable for humans), I do fancy cooking, play music (was once in a band that toured the US, Europe and Japan!) and collect vinyl records that I never actually play. silver & black, Kenny B, wbealsd and 3 others 6 Quote Driver: G 10.5* W/Tour Stiff 65g Ping Shaft Fairway Woods: Cobra F6 13.5*, F6 Baffler 16* Irons: Split Set- i200 3i - 7i , Ft Worth 15s, 8 (36), 9 (40), PW (44) Wedges: TK, 52* & 56* Putter: Sigma G Kushin Bag: Hoofer 5way Balls: TP5/X

MattF
I like to smoke meats, brew beer and vint wine. I built myself a UDS for BBQing but will eventually get a stick burner. I started brewing a long time ago and now all grain using the BIAB method (invented in Australia). I usually make Dr Smurto's Golden Ale for me, a Summer Ale for SWMBO and a Vanilla Porter for anyone. I'll be putting down the porter this weekend. EthanSterlingPrice
I've always wanted to get a kayak. We go on long floats in the summer, (hopefully this isn't just a Missouri thing) which consists of TONS of people. We always rent the large rafts they offer, but a kayak seems like a lot more fun. Golfspy_CG2
College Hoops!! I'm fortunate that my two passions have seasons that kind of dove-tail each other. Fireinthehole
So we all know that everyone here has a love for golf. Sometimes that love turns to hate, but nonetheless you're addicted. When you aren't playing golf, what do you like to do? For me, it's PC gaming/building. Here in Missouri, we usually experience all the seasons, so when Winter rolls around I have to put up the sticks and bust out the controller/M&KB. That is, until Spring comes, then it's a cycle all over again. This is the PC I built towards the end of last year sometime, a simple black & white setup. 67978B95-4F71-4039-A477-DB6496EDA310.jpg So, what's your other hobby, if any? I coach soccer around this time of year and play myself. I played semi-professionally, so it's always fun to relieve the glory-days. I also like to draw and paint.
