For me it isn't argumentative, Cutler is by far the best QB since I became a fan in 1978. But he went through a new offensive scheme every year and 4 new OC's. The line held consistently for 3.5 seconds and that's plenty of time for any NFL QB (other than Fields) to get rid of the ball. That said as someone that played QB through college, you can never have enough good OLineman and hopefully the Bears take a stud LT at #9. ... We will just have to disagree as I have watched Fields in horror for 3 years constantly screaming at my TV "THROW THE BALL, HE IS WIDE OPEN!!!" and then watched him get sacked after well over 3.5 seconds. So Williams or Maye are most definitely the answer to the question of trade the pick and keep Fields or actually get an NFL QB that gives your team a chance to win. I think you are just trolling as a Packers fan and wanna see Fields stay in Chicago. Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Ventus Red Velocore 5R Fairway: Qi10 5 wood ... This the same Cutler you're talking about? I'm all about recognizing talent when we talk about "bests", so long as we also recognize effort, attitude, and results. I'd pick Jim McMahon in that time frame but "who was the biggest wasted talent" isn't a particularly fun topic for me. Unless we're talking about the Lions. That’s where he thrives and proved that in college. Mahomes is a mobile qb in the sense that he can move around and still find his receivers. There’s a reason GB didn’t resign ESB. He’s just not good, his brother is better. Montgomery is showing what he can do as a RB in Detroit after Chicago let him go. I’ve talked with my friends who are Chicago fans, I’ve said it to them and I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face. The bears won’t do much of anything until you have a new owner. Disappointment here in the Motor City due to the outcome, but knowing Dan Campbell and his analytics for going for it on 4th down, and his "track record" of how many times it has happened, it was not surprising to see him keep that aggre4ssiveness in this game. But there is also hope for the future, as these players are young and hungry, and an appreciation of what they accomplished this year. The division title was the goal, with a play-off game, and they exceeded those expectations. They also have proven they can play with, and stay with the better teams in the league, so the future here is very bright. I believe they will address the defense in the off season through the draft and a possible free agent. Definitely need to upgrade at CB. I think I read where Reynolds becomes a FA so will be interesting how that plats out. His first drop would have been a tough catch, the second was inexcusable. As for Campbell going for it at the end, it would have been a 48 yarder and I don’t think he has confidence in Badgley from beyond 40. Plus, and I think this is reasonable, the previous 2 times they got the play they wanted, albeit drops. I think they expected to get the play they wanted, but the last time Goff got flushed. The killer was the drops. And the long completion off the defenders face mask, immediately followed by the fumble. Take away any one of those and who knows. Great season but the lions for the last X games have stalled offensively in the second half. My biggest concern is who will replace Ben Johnson assuming he becomes a HC? In other developing news, the tigers may have gotten the deal of the century by signing Colt Keith to a 9 year, $82M contract, the first 6 guaranteed and the last 3 team options. First year he will be paid $2.5M. He likely gets his first mlb at bat this spring. Goff reminds me of Cousins. First he has improved so much and part of the reason the Lions were in the play offs. Give him time and protection and he will pick you apart. Sadly many QB's in the NFL can play really under those circumstances. But under pressure or on the run and his proficiency drops precipitously and he has not played well in the really big games. Like Cousins he can put up big numbers and both are too good to replace with just another QB that may be Zach Wilson or Desmond Ridder or Trey Lance. It is a real conundrum for the good teams. I think Cousins and Goff can win a SB IF they get the protection they need but the Mahomes, Allens and even the Purdy's that seem immune to pressure and can consistently move around the pocket and avoid the rush throwing accurately out of the pocket after it breaks down give their team a much better chance at the final trophy. ... Of course the problem is finding one of them. I have a strong feeling two of them will be available in April and maybe three. I doubt the Bears or Commanders will take a trade for Williams and Maye as it would have to be an off the charts enticing offer. Maybe NE takes a kings ransom for Daniels but he is the potential 3rd franchise QB and they are badly in need of a QB. Of course Goff was the first pick in the 2016 draft so there are no guarantees. Interesting the 3 top passing yardage leaders all faltered in the playoffs 1. Tagovialoa 2. Goff 3. Prescott. Most difficult position to excel in sports and equaled with the difficulty of drafting the right one. Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Ventus Red Velocore 5R Fairway: Qi10 5 wood ... Last week after Sunday was a blackout for playoff coaches but this week they could have interviewed until the end of this week if the lions had won. I have a feeling the lions are giving him a nice raise and deservedly so. The lions DC has taken some heat but I think most recognize he did quite well with what he has had to work with. berkeleybob 1 Quote Driver: Fusion, 9 deg, UST Recoil 450 ES F3/2 430 MAX 4w (5w head delofted 1* with 3w shaft), 7w, 5h w/ Alta CB Soft Regular shaft JPX923 HM 6i - GW w/ UST Recoil 460 ESX F3 RTX6 52* and 56* with Recoil 760 ESX F2 Versa DB DoubleWide : Z-Star Tour

I have played for bad coaches and it is a miserable experience. I can't imagine coaching for a terrible owner and/or a bad organization. Gotta applaud Ben for being a very mature young man that knows power and money are useless if you aren't happy. berkeleybob, rkj427 and silver & black 2 1 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Wheelieb
I'm looking forward to having a good rival in the NFC north to battle it out with. I don't think Detroit is going to go anywhere, and Green Bay is only going to get better. Great young core Detroit has, they just need to work on tackling in open space. berkeleybob and GaryF 2 Quote Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max 9* with Tensei AV Blue 55 PXG 5 and 7 woods with Mitsubishi Diamana Shafts Mizuno Pro 225 5-GW with Dynamic Gold S300 shafts Taylormade Hi-Toe 54 and 58 degree wedges Ping Prime Tyne
Berg Ryman
I hate the Commanders so much. Of all the teams as a young boy I chose to support why did it have to be them? I could have been a Bills fan or something else with a fun fanbase and hope, even if it gets crushed. Now I've suffered through the worst owner in professional sports and just when you think it's coming around the corner, that we're getting a young exciting head coach to lead the team into a new era of something at least resembling competitive and fun football... surprise, it's ol' 28-3 himself Dan Quinn. My excitement for this franchise in 2024 and the future just got kicked square between the legs. I hate you Commanders... so much rkj427 and ejgaudette 2 Quote In a Hoofer Lite bag TSR2, 10 degrees, A1 setting, Fujikara Speeder NX Blue 50-S Stealth, 15 degrees, VA Composites Nemesys 70-S E722, 19 degrees, Oban Devotion 80-S JPX 921 Hot Metal Pro 4-P, Nippon 950GH Stiff Flex CBX Zipcore 50* (bent to *49) and RTX Zipcore Tour Rack 54* (bent to *55), DG 115 Spinner, Tour Issue Staff Model TG 60*, Dynamic Gold 120 S300 SIK Golf Flo-C Tour B-XS (2022 Model)
