I currently have custom fit Cobra LTDx irons/wedges, a Vokey 60(cause my short game has been the best part of my game, and a Maverick 9 deg. Driver. It's turned off to be a bit rainy yesterday and today after a month or more of being extremely dry. It's supposed to be this way for a while which is good, we need the rain. I was getting ready to leave work at 2 when my boss called and said the rail mill blew a pipe up on the Steam shear. We went up and checked it out and it was a old cast iron tee that was original to the shear installed in 1914. With no spare parts we had to fabricate one up. With the fab shop already out for the day we had to modify and drill out a 8 bolt flange to get the correct bolt pattern for a old 6 bolt flange. Of course are Hogan drill bits weren't long enough to get the whole way through the flange so we had to use the torch to get the rest of the way through. It ended up going going OK but it turned into a 14 hour day with a heat index of 101 and it was probably 250 degrees up above the shear were the tee was installed. So that ruined my golf plans for the evening. I won't be out tonight either but will be Thursday and Friday. Hit them strait Guys! Great day at Arbor yesterday and this morning playing the course that hosts a Korn Ferry Tour event in a few weeks. We decided last night we weren’t going to play from the tips although it was mulled over that we should try playing the event like they do. As “fun” as that sounds, playing 460 yard par 4s into the wind just isnt in my wheelhouse right now. If the driver was a little more reliable I might give it a go but my swing with the big stick has been wayward as of late. Will report back later today to share how it goes.
