Popular Post J7Hawkins
Good morning everyone! I've been gone from the forum for a couple months just super swamped with work and covered in snow at home... Happy to back! I've been daydreaming of warmer temps and green fairways. I still have a million projects on the go and various things we are working on as the forum staff can attest to, but after getting those photos up and a few other things done late last night I feel I can be a member here for a few hours! Great breakfast at the curling hall while we have a tournament going on and some good coffee so really hard to complain! In other news, while it won't effect the forum or what I am doing here I have taken on an additional role with MyGolfSpy working with our Forum staff to get more content on the main site. You will see a lot more of the forum staff writing and having articles published and promoted there. We will post these and what we ask of you is if and when possible show the guys some love and make a few comments, if you like the article share it around! These guys work hard on them and have been doing some great work behind the scenes. We of course will all still be on the forum doing our thing, but we hope to see a lot more growth in 2024 and this is part of it. On a personal note I am thrilled to work more with the HQ team and expand my role within MyGolfSpy as this is a company and brand I believe in. I always had the goal of expanding my role, but honestly thought it would kinda be capped with directing for forum. I am thrilled with where the forum is and where we are going to be. We have made a ton of progress and I will make sure that continues (along with the staff), however I am excited to be more involved with HQ, help get more content out to everyone in the golfing world and see where this can take me! Finally and maybe most important for me is the new role or expanded responsibility means I can spend more time at home. At the end of this season I am dropping my World Curling position making ice for events around the world and focusing on being home more with family and enjoying the time seeing my kids grow up and hopefully golfing! Stay tuned as 2024 will be one to remember! Congratulation Jamie, an ice maker eh?? Like Don Cherry would say "a good Canadian boy". Well done and congratulations on your new role, you are doing it for the right reasons, in my opinion, getting to spend more time at home with your growing family will be the best benefit. I will follow you on the main site and contribute when I can, you have made a big difference on the forum for certain... Popular Post Kenny B
Good Morning everyone!! 27º and while the snow stopped, we now have a freezing rain advisory from now until 10am tomorrow. Lots of accidents, roads closed, and even the airport is closed!! This is the time we usually head to Palm Springs, so lucky for us that we made our reservations for February this year. Not going to get above freezing until late tomorrow after the freezing rain turns to just rain. Not complaining; we only get 7 inches of rain a year. Today will be spent watching golf in La Quinta and Hawaii with a few swings in my hitting bay for exercise. Sorry for the snow and cold weather back east and in the South. I've been to Florida several times in January and each time it was colder than it was here at home. Stay safe everyone!! Popular Post sirchunksalot
Good morning everyone! Like @ParFore74x said, it's also the last day for frigid temps here where it's currently sitting at 10°. I think we're looking at getting highs this week in the high 50's although we're looking at a rainy forecast. My wife has me under a strict "you're not doing anything today" rule to let my feet recover from going back to work and having to wear new safety shoes. We went to ESD at the start of the year and since the selection was slim in wide widths, the pair I bought are not comfortable. Might have to go buy another pair. It's all good, looking at the Kingsmill counter, we're down to less than 130 days until an amazing golf trip. I hope you all have a great Sunday! Popular Post Shrek74
Good morning Spies. Another chilly morning at -3*. High of 23, but then a major warm-up next week. Monday 41, then up to 59 on Thursday. Downsize is it's going to rain literally all week. So from 6" of snow -3*, to a week of rain and a high of 59*. Nuts. Well, yesterdays upgrade went very badly. Got stuff on some networking crap that lasted the majority of the day. I was online from 8am - 11pm. Looks like we'll only get half of the planned work done this weekend. So another weekend will be planned and then I'll plan to make the trip down to campus. Well, I'm going to make my mug of water and maybe jump on the treadmill as we start this morning. Have a good Sunday all.
