I used to be a Discount Tire employee a very very long time ago.  Unfortunately there isn’t one nearby or that would have been my go to.

YMMV, but locally I have had good success taking GF's car to Meineke for service. Not specifically wheel/tire related, but anyway. I still take my car to the Honda dealer locally, which is probably costing me money. She doesn't drive a Honda.

Afternoon checkup at the primary care provider, clean bill of health. Then got in my first Rypstick workout in a few weeks. CHS wasn't great but I didn't expect it to be after a layoff, and I got a couple of 90+. So far the bum shoulder isn't complaining about it, but we shall see.

Tell me about it.  I should have known better.  I’m filing a claim against the tow truck driver, he jacked up the wheel pretty bad when he misses his tool and hit it with a hammer… my trade was a mechanic for the past 17 years… it really pisses me off (sorry) seeing zero respect for other people’s things.  That goes for anything really.  It’s a $1200 wheel he just effed up.

 

as far as options, from what I can tell it’s limited without towing it to the other side of the island… for a flat tire!

Good evening Spies on what was a great weather day here today.

@Shankster hope you get resolution to the tire and lug issue, and I also agree those who have no business with tools in their hands should stay away from all mechanical things, no matter how simple they may be.

Managed to get a round in today with some friends at a private course with no green fees, and played very well, although the course was not as challenging as some here and was in pristine condition.

Playing tomorrow with my retired military friends, and short course, irons only and no scores kept. Practice rounds with socialization the priority.

@Josh Parker how are you liking your Titleist GT? Just curious, as mine should be here any day now.

OMFG!!! Hearing you all talk about the GT!!! So want the 4! Good evening everyone, just finished my 100th USGA round and did pretty good. After 9 I was one over, the wheels got a little sideways on the back (maybe too much adult beverages) and I ended with a 75. 

Anyway, enjoyed the round and company. Poopies are good and commander is well. All in all a good day!

How does a car going less than 25mph, likely less than 10mph cause an accident that absolutely destroys the front end of it and the bumper of the vehicle in front of it.  Together they made an obtuse triangle, very strange.

Many factors, as I've done a few AIT  reports, and have seen some strange things as the aftermath.

Newer vehicles (mostly since 2016) have aluminum bumper supports, and bumper covers are mounted with plastic fasteners. Front and rear alike.

From my limited knowledge, they are designed to work as quick breakaway setups, and also has to do with impact crumple zones to minimize internal component damage (aka passengers)

I've seen a vehicle pull into a parkimg spot and push into a parking lot light post and it completely removed the bumper cover when they backed up. (Less than 10 mph)

Evening spies! Get to go meet the grandson this evening, CIC is cranky though. Played 18 this afternoon with my used/new to me epic max ls. Great club especially for $140!!! Damned near pristine except some rub marks on the crown. They can be buffed out but meh, I’ll play her as she is. She hits off the deck well too. Gonna put the Newton shaft in her and give it a go on Sunday. Hope you all had a great day!!

Went to the ranger earlier, left more frustrated than I was the other day.  This fade has to be the wind.  The range in Maryland I went to was just as windy, but I don’t remember this dang near slice going on. It doesn’t look windy, but I am Assuming it is at 100+ feet in the air being a few hundred yards from the ocean.  
 

Also, I thought I ended my golf days for good too… left shoulder (the bionic one) got really warm and tight.  Feels better now, but that made me a bit nervous.

@Erin B congratulations on the new to you grandson. Best to all the family there.

@Shankster, Alan, saw your other post related to the vehicle. How did they miss the original estimate by that much? Here in MI, they need to call before making repairs over original estimate, otherwise customer doesn't have to pay for them. (State Law here) Did they damage wheel during the removal, or possibly the hub where the stud was installed? Just curious.

Lastly, glad to read that shoulder seems better, and hopefully stays good so you can continue your golf journey.

Had plans for a Saturday round go up in smoke, others in the group can't make it, and I more than likely will just go to the range and practice putting green.

Have a round booked for Sunday morning, and confirmed that at least 2 of us will be there, so looking forward to that.

Range day was pretty good today and finished course work for the week. Wanted to get out for a tee time but there was almost nothing available, and if I were to take a single spot, the course would've been a 6 hour traffic jam. Too nice outside for people to stay in I suppose.

Yes, I did the tracking thing, and they have only printed the label at this point. 

I believe the quick turnaround is based on having spec'd a stock shaft. The demand for the upgrade shafts has created a shortage of inventory across the industry currently.

Good Saturday evening spies! We headed over the hill to Laramie for this!!! Hopefully the Pokes show up!!!

Folf tomorrow and put the Newton in the Epic to see how she does. She loves the steadfast and the shaft she was shipped with. Hopefully she’ll love the Newton!!! Hope everyone has a great evening and Wyo wins!!!
