JAGolfore
Played what I believe is my final round of 2016 yesterday. It was 74* and windy but an awesome day for the middle of November. The course was in great shape, they had the leaves taken care of and I hit the ball better than I expected. Usually my rounds are very boring, but yesterday I had a chip in, hit a flag stick (yes I made the putt) and finished with back to back birdies to end the year. Final score was a 71 (-1). I will take that for November and I am looking forward to 2017. I will get to play early in January in Boca Raton. revkev, McGary6 and MattF 3 Quote Driver: Callaway Rogue 9* FW: Sub 70 Pro 4 wood Hybrid: Sub 70 949 Hybrid 19* Irons: Sub 70 659 CB 4 - 6 Black 639 MB 7 - PW Wedges: Sub 70 JB - 50* 54* & 60* Putter: Odyssey White Hot #2 Ball: Titleist Pro-V1x Handicap index: +3.9 Instagram: joshandersongolf Twitter: @jacustomgolf

Peaksy68
Pinehurst Foursomes matchplay semi final today. Bizarre match, we were playing pretty ordinary golf, but our opponents were worse. We were 4 up through 5, with 1 birdie, our opponents had 3 X 3 putts at this stage. They birdied 8&9, we butchered 10 to be be 1 up after 10. Stemmed the flow and got a win on 13 to go 2 up again. We lost a hole after a 40 yd chip in, and the same guy hit the pin out of the bunker on the next (16th) hole. They 3 putted 17 to give us the win 2 and 1. Final next Saturday, after my work Christmas party Friday night, I might need to behave. Jmikecpa
So I had a first today at Sea Island. Played the Plantation course with my hosts from RSM. Played so so for the first 9 holes which was the back 9. Make the turn to 1 and due to the tournament they turned the par 5 into a 135 yard par 3. Threw a wedge over the top of the flag and spun it back into the cup for my first ace ever. Was also the first ace on the 1st at Plantation hole #1. I also am aware that it is not "official" since the hole was not playing to its regulation but I am going to take it. I head to the range in two hours for the RSM Shootout for $1M. One swing from 175 and an ace wins it. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy fozcycle, Peaksy68, Undershooter and 3 others 6 Quote WITB 2024 Driver: Qi10 LS 9* Ltd. Jmikecpa
So my day continued in the RSM shootout. One swing from 175 in the 18th green at Seaside for $1M. Got to warm up in the range with the pros that had finished their round which was flat out incredible. Get to the venue and they put a mat at 175 and kept the people in the boxes at the event. 13 guys with one swing for the cash. Hit a 7 iron right over the flag and off the tents behind the green. Rare if ever I hit a 200 yard 7 iron but cool as hell nonetheless. Best 7 iron I have ever hit with DLIII watching my swing. Got to meet Matt Adams from the Golf Channel and spent and hour with him. After it was done went to a Cole Swindell concert and drank beer with Tommy Gainey. Furyk, Kuch and Webb Simpson were there as well. DLIIII was on stage with the Ryder Cup. Overall a great night. Jmikecpa
Played Seaside today with the same tees from and pin positions from the final round of the RSM. We played a group format which was fun but I played my own ball on 17 and 18. Made par from the right bunker on 17 so I would have extended the playoff. My tee ball on 18 made it across the path and had 127 in that I stuck to 3 feet for a birdie. Overall it was just a great weekend at an awesome event. Jmikecpa
To add to my earlier post I played the Seaside Course at Sea Island today for the Monday after the RSM Classic event. A few takeaways...I played the same tees as the pros and pretty much hit the same clubs as the average tour guy. On #15 I driver and 5 iron into the par 5, I took the Villegas line on #16 and had 81 yards in, hit 5 iron pin high right on 17 and busted a drive on #18 that went across the path. It was pretty cool to at least think that I could hang with the big boys in the distance category. Second was just how darn hard the greens were in terms of speed but also just flat out hard. There was not too much that was stopping or backing up today. Caddy said it was worse today with no watering overnight and a windy day but these were rock hard. Lastly putting was just tough all day and can completely understand how Billy Ho fanned a two footer. I had to grind over every putt and take my time. Grain is a big deal in these greens and that needs to be the first read. Again it was a great weekend and felling very fortunate that I got to play a course with a true Tour setup. sp0rtsfan86
I've played sparingly the last few months. I finally broke down and played two back to back 18's after two weeks off. The first round was pretty solid for the break. Hit a lot of good solid shots that didn't kill me and played the back nine 5 over which is a nice change of pace. The sunday round was awful-- wasn't in a good mood before hand and we had the first real shot of "fall" here in the desert. Basically it was windy and 60's. I couldn't hit anything to save my life and my short game was full of chunks. On the plus side, I'm back to playing. revkev
Played a fun little match yesterday my son and his godfather vs. A good friend and myself. 6 holes best ball, 6 alternate shot, 6 scramble. We had more fun than should be allowed on a golf course. I didn't play particularly well but with that format there were times when foul balls didn't matter. We won the first 6, they the second and I got us up and down from jail on 16 and holed out from off the green for eagle on 17 to close it out.
