On course smokes

I usually smoke whatever I was going to smoke that weekend, unless I have a Rocky Patel The Edge Lite in my humidor. That cigar is really a golfers cigar. They even say it on the website. It is great because once you light that thing, it will stay lit. I'm convinced that I can play two holes without puffing it and it will still be fully lit haha.

Here's a link to them if you guys want to try one: http://www.famous-smoke.com/rocky+patel+the+edge+lite+double+corona+cigars/item+24281

First off let me say that other than Swisher Sweets and Backwoods there is only one place in my town to buy cigars, and they have maybe 15 different kinds. So the Famous Smoke Shop on line is awesome. This more than anything else is why I have taken up cigars. The ones at the local store are very expensive and if you do not know anything about them $7 or more a pop for a crappy cigar is enough to give one pause.

I have recently bought two on cousre smokes plus a sample to enjoy in the club afterwards but they are just Robustos. I have not had one of my Friday - Sunday smokes yet, but I have a 1 o'clock smoke time, I mean tee time, and will fire one of those up then. While I have not had it on the course I did go ahead and have my Monday thru Thursday smoke. I actually fired this up last night on the back porch just to taste it. However, I only smoked it for a bit, the wife would not like it if I stepped outside long enough to suck down a Double Corona while she waited for me. So, after a good taste of it, I clipped off the fire and saved the rest for this morning. I have been smoking this for the past hour and a half and decided to tell what I think.

Famous Nicaraguan Habano Double Corona.

The site says:

Famous Habano Nicaraguan cigars are a bargain hunter's delight if you want bold tobacco flavor at candy store prices. Offered in bundles of 20 cigars, these 5-year-aged, all-Nicaraguan leaf puros are blended with a diverse, Habano-seed core rolled in savory Habano wrappers. The result is a smooth, well-balanced, and spicy smoke that packs a wallop of complex flavor without overpowering you. A FANTASTIC value! Try a bundle and compare them to the pricier cigars you're smoking now

This description is spot on. It really is a flavorful cigar yet still not over powering. It does not really have a lot of smoke to it. I will say that if you leave it unattended for too long it will go out. But that is fine with me. I have been a pipe smoker for many years and those damned things will go out with a match still there. This is not such a bad deal. If you have been smoking this thing for more than an hour and leave it and come back it is out, you can take a break. And the good news is a few minutes later when you are ready for another, you can just relight that one instead of spending another $3-8 dollars for another cigar.

or do you just count on the cart girl to slip you a stick?

Isn't that supposed to be the other way around?

I will say one thing, when they came up with how long a cigar lasts chart that Professor Frank posted in Cigar 101 they did not take into account a 20 mph wind. I could leave it sitting on the cart and the wind was smoking that bad boy.
