Here are some of the details received from Cleveland Golf:

Big Picture

With Rotex 2.0, we set out to give golfers more control and increased versatility with their wedges, which ultimately leads to lower scores. We added control by improving the Rotex Face for more consistent spin from all conditions. We also created 3 new versatile sole grinds to provide the best turf interaction for a variety of player types. Lastly, we'll be providing more wedge fitting options than any other company to insure the golfers can select the proper wedges for their games.

Rotex 2.0 Face

Maintains maximum spin from the fairway while increasing spin from the rough by ~15%.

Grooves: Steeper groove walls produce sharper radii. We made the walls steeper to increase groove volume, and we made the grooves sharper to increase spin on wet shots.

Milling Pattern: A new 2-pass Micro Milling increases milling depth by 30% and width by 14%. The passes are timed so the pattern peaks between each pair of grooves.

Laser Milling: Laser pattern improves roughness consistency so we can get closer to the USGA regulations.

3 New Sole Grinds

Each new sole grind is designed to improve contact and performance for various playing styles. These

are offered in both the blade and cavity back wedges

1 Dot

Heel, Toe, and Trailing Edge Grinds

Lowest Effective Bounce

The 1 Dot grind keeps the leading edge close to the ground so players can hit aggressive lob shots.

However, it still provides ample bounce and turf interaction on square-faced full shots.

2 Dot

Trailing Edge Grind, plus moderate Heel and Toe Relief

Mid Effective Bounce

The 2 Dot grind is designed for all-around playability and versatility. It allows the golfer to execute a wide range of shots around the green from most playing conditions.

3 Dot

Full Sole

Highest Effective Bounce

The 3 Dot grind is designed for those who like using the entire sole to their advantage around the greens. The full shape gives stability on square and open face shots alike. Popular sole shape on tour. The most extensive wedge lineup in golf provides the perfect wedge for every player's style. 120 unique model, loft, sole grind, and finish options.

Blade and Cavity Back

Blade - Designed purely based on tour testing and feedback. Compact top down shape, 3 different sole grinds and 2 finishes – Black Satin and Tour Satin

These new finishes highlight the workmanship that goes into the wedges by showing the detail and brush strokes.

Cavity Back - Slightly larger shape than the blade provides increased confidence at address. Sole grinds have similar shapes to the blade version, but different dimensions to provide more forgiveness through the turf for the cavity back player. Available in the Black Satin finish.

Loft / Grind / Finish Options

1 Dot available 54 – 60 degrees

2 Dot available 46 – 64 degrees

3 Dot available 54 – 60 degrees

All options available in Blade and Cavity Back, Right Hand and Left Hand

Blade available in Black Satin and Tour Satin finishes

Cavity Back available in Black Satin

Standard Steel: Dynamic Gold

Standard Graphite: Rotex Wedge Flex

(New wedge shaft designed for improved performance and feel for those using graphite iron shafts 90 grams)

Interchangeable wedge heads and shafts will be available at 1,500+ locations throughout the world.

This allows golfers to test various head and shaft combinations to insure they have the proper model, lofts, sole grinds, length, lie, and shaft.

Nicely done Zinger.......I am in the market for a new Sand Wedge.  I currently game a 30+ year old Wilson R90 that I won in a tourney in the 1980's.  I also have a Mizuno TP-11, Nike VR Pro CB & Powerbilt AFO.  That said, I am looking at new wedges that have the RTX type grind over the entire face.  Although I have never gamed one, I think it makes sense to put an edge on the entire face.

Cleveland Launcher CBX & HB Irons

Heads up gang - time for another MyGolfSpy Community Forum Review opportunity!
You guys may remember our trip to Cleveland Golf HQ in Huntington Beach, CA last December. The folks at Cleveland/Srixon/XXIO showed our forum members a wonderful time and outfitted them with a full bag of brand new Cleveland gear..including either the new Launcher CBX or Launcher HB irons, whichever was the best fit.

It was so much fun, and the guys loved the clubs so much, that we wanted to give you an opportunity to try them out for yourself.

We're looking for 4 avid MGS'ers to do the MGS thing and give a thorough, professional and honest review of the new Cleveland irons. We need two of you to review the Launcher CBX irons, and two more to review the ultra-forgiving Launcher HB irons.

And after you review them, you get to keep them - how about that!

As you know, we take our Forum Testing VERY seriously at MGS. This is NOT A GIVEAWAY, but a unique opportunity for you to become a real golf gear reviewer. It's a full 2 month commitment, and you'll be expected to give the irons a thorough testing both on the course and on the practice range, and you'll be given a detailed review template upon which to base your review (we do try to make it as easy as possible!).

You'll also be asked to visit the review thread often answer questions and share your journey with your fellow forum members (and ask anyone who done an MGS review before, they'll tell you - it's a hoot!)

This opportunity is open to anybody residing in the US or Canada. Think you have what it takes to be an MGS reviewer? Here's what you have to do:

      In this thread, tell us:

      1. Your first name and home state or province
      2. Your current irons/shafts (flex and brand)
      3. Your current handicap
      4. Your preferred irons to test (visit the Cleveland Golf Website to check out the details)

We'll be announcing the testers next week, so make sure to check back here to see if you've been chosen.

      Good luck!
Well another great turnout and batch of testing applications, this one was truly not easy, lots of great candidates but in the end, these four gentleman have shown a true commitment to MGS and been active in the community.  Two of them are proven past reviewers who we know will do a great job, and TWO FIRST TIME reviewers, who we have been great contributors in their time on MGS.   S
      Please welcome me in congratulating:
      CBX Testers:
      HB Testers:
      Ole Gray
Stay tuned later today or tonight for a PM from me with more details and asking for some additional information.     We're thrilled to have the four of you take part in this testing and know you will bring lots of great information to the forum.

      (3) TESTERS Announced

      Cleveland Launcher HB Driver
With Your Choice of Premium Shaft

Do like your drivers long and beastly or straight and narrow? Do you like to fiddle with features or do you prefer grip it and rip it simple?

There are no wrong answers here, it's just a matter of what you value.

And if you value a driver with a yard-to-dollar ratio close to 1, you might just find value in the Cleveland Launcher HB.

There's a lot of 2008 in the new Cleveland Launcher HB - there's the name, of course, and the updated HiBore crown. There's no adjustable hosel, and a $299 price tag that will make you feel young again.

The Launcher HB was a solid performer in this year's Most Wanted Testing, finishing in the top half of the pack, only 3 yards behind the PING G400 LST but with a 25% lower sticker price. That's how the off-the-rack model performer for us, but we'd like to see how a customized model works for you.

We want THREE avid golfers to test, review and keep the Cleveland Launcher HB equipped with YOUR CHOICE of any premium shaft in the Cleveland catalog (click here to see the lineup).

      Yes, ANY SHAFT.

      How To Apply:

All applications must be made in this thread, so please follow the instructions carefully.

      Please tell us the following:

Your first name and your home state/province
      Your current driver/shaft combination
      Your driver swing speed/carry distance
      Your current handicap

Congratulations to the following testers.   Details coming via PM from me shortly.

Fresh off their solid performance in MGS's 2017 Most Wanted Putter testing, Cleveland is adding to its impressive Huntington Beach Collection.
These new models will be in stores April 14th, and remain an amazing value at $99.00 each....
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – April 4, 2017 â€“ CLEVELAND GOLF®, focused on Where Scoring Mattersâ„¢ and a global leader in wedge innovation since 1979, is proud to introduce three new Huntington Beach Collection putter models: the 3, the 6C and the 10. The new models officially launch on Friday, April 14, 2017.

The Cleveland Golf Huntington Beach Collection is a line of milled putters with technology designed to deliver more consistent putting performance. Inspired by the beautiful setting of Cleveland Golf's North America headquarters, these putters feature the classic designs that have been revered for generations with modern innovations that can help any golfer improve their scoring.
Golfers around the world have discovered the incredible performance and value of the Huntington Beach Collection. The 1, 4 and 6 models, which launched in September 2016, have garnered impressive accolades from many major golf media outlets. Golf Digest awarded a 2017 Hot List Gold Medal and 5 stars for “Performance”, right in line with a review from one particular Hot List tester: “Whatever they're charging, they should charge more. It's that good.” MyGolfSpy's “Most Wanted” putter testing also showed very positive results, with the 4 model earning “Best Value” in the Blade Putter category.

The new Cleveland Golf Huntington Beach Collection 3, 6C and 10 putter models feature tour-proven shapes and are made from soft 304 stainless steel, which promotes a softer feel at impact. The Precision Milled Face has a coarse, diamond-shaped pattern that is four times deeper than the previous generation, according to Cleveland Golf testing. The face promotes more friction at impact, which enhances feel and helps produce a more consistent roll.

The Huntington Beach Collection 3, 6C and 10 putter models are available in right-handed 33”, 34” and 35” length options with a Midsize Blue grip. Huntington Beach Collection putters are available at $99.99 MAP each, and the oversized WinnPro X grip is available at a $10.00 MAP upcharge.
