55* on Feb 4!!!!   nice temps but it is raining pretty hard.  At least it will be warm enough for a good net session in the unheated pole barn!

Golfing weather has returned!!!

I missed the "warm" weather window for my net session and we are now down to 36* with a VERY cold rain. 

I am NOT  motivated to head out the pole barn and hit balls into the net, that is for sure!  

More indoor putting and swinging the weighted club slowly to stay stretched out.

Today I am faced with a beautiful 66 degrees, sun is shining, and the skies are blue. I got off work at 11:45 and was planning on an afternoon at the course. But no this just in from the weather service.

Avoid Northwest Greene County (that's of course where I am) Very dry gusty winds to 35 miles per hour but potentially higher in the mountain passes (yup I'm in there too).

And I just fixed the roof last weekend from the last wind storm.  It's already howling outside. Looks like another day of talking to my clubs and apologizing to them for leaving them in the corner again!

Yesterday was sunny and a high of 65º with no wind... and no golf for me.  Tee times booked all day!  I wish people would go back to the office to work rather than work from a golf cart!!

40* at Tee Time this morning and all the Boyz opted for breakfast.  To no one’s surprise a new menu with “updated” pricing was sprung on us.  Welcome to 2022!!  
It’s 77* sunny and beautiful now @ 2:30!!

We've seen some of our take out orders from restaurants increase in pricing over the last few months.  I can't blame them, meat prices are crazy.

 

We had 62* this afternoon and I developed eye trouble.....I just couldn't see staying in the office for work and the healing solution was nine holes in the warm sunshine!  Pretty good weather for February!!!

This diner somehow has maintained reasonable prices.  I’m surprised they held out this long.  They were apologizing for what they had to do.

47 and mostly clear skies this morning, headed to 60 again today!!  It was warm enough last evening in the low 50's that I changed the oil in the one car wearing just a flannel shirt out in the open pole barn - usually I'd have the carhart coveralls on and still be cold!

Same here. 60 degrees and I was outside in just a light sweatshirt yesterday, today my deck is covered in snow before 8am.

7° and windy when I rolled out of bed this morning. Standard February in Iowa really. Give it a couple of days and it will be in the 40s.

Friday it was sunny and 60 degrees. But the booster shot had me down. Saturday, sunny and 55 but I still wasn't up to playing. Sunday, feel back to normal but wake up to snow on the ground. Looks like a simulator session is calling me.

Been on the chilly side here at night - low 50's, this morning when I took the dog out it was 60, so an improvement. Wife and I have a 2:15 tee time - sun is supposed to be out and high 60's.

Well, it is still winter.

We have 60º an sunny all this week with lows at or above freezing...  not bad.  We had snow last winter on this day.

13* two days ago and we are headed to 65* this afternoon!  No complaints here, just enjoying the rollercoaster ride of temperatures!  

No chance to get out to play at all today though too much going on in life. - maybe tomorrow afternoon, it's still supposed to be in the 50's.

15* This morning but at least the wind has stopped for a while. Yesterday had gusts up to 25mph and temps in the 30's here. 

I was in a different neck of the woods myself.....up on a mountain doing my best to ski and not fall down to the bottom.  It was extremely windy in various spots up there.  Sometimes slowing you down to almost a complete stop if it was directly in to you.

I thought spring was just around the corner; been playing in 45-50º days... BUT this afternoon at 3pm... snowing hard!

AND at night it's supposed too be 15º.  The good news is that by this weekend, it's going to be back up to 50º.

We've gone from winter to summer over night! 58* yesterday and it is supposed to be in the 80's all week! Not even a break this year in energy costs-we goin from heat on to AC on in 24 hours!
