Shorts and snow - not the combination I would recommend. emoji4.png

I have been silly when I was a bit younger and I ran in shorts when it was so cold that just above my knee by the end snow was collecting and taking a long time to melt, thankfully no serious frost bit. Not my smartest move, but oh well.

We were all there at one time, “young & dumb”.

When we get to a certain age, we can still do "young & dumb things.  We are at that age.  😆

Some say too much of a good thing isn't good... good thing some clouds are moving in on Tuesday 🙂.

44 this morning and still raining, 1.1" since it started yesterday.  I wanted to get some holes dug and posts set for a deck project today but that may be 'post-poned'.... 🤪

The rain cleared out by 10:30 and i got back to the deck post project.  Got the layout squared off and holes dug and posts cemented in place.  I'll give them a couple days to set and then start the framing.  Its still 43 out but feels colder because it got windy after the rain quit.  I got the Christmas lights hung up outside tonight and the fingers were getting cold trying to put the light wire into the soffitt clips.

Nope, don’t own a Parka anymore. I had an Army Parka w the wolf fur that I gave to SIL when we left CT.
That morning I had a long sleeve pullover shirt, midweight sweatshirt and a 3/4 sleeve pullover FJ windshirt and of course shorts.
Shorts weren’t bad but a heavier sweatshirt would have been smarter move.

We've had an Air Stagnation Advisory since last Monday and it's supposed to last until Tuesday.  We will see... it was supposed to end today.  Basically, foggy all day and low temp 28 and high temp 34.

Now we also have a Freezing Fog Advisory overnight, and I have a 9:46 tee time tomorrow!!

Freezing fog is one of the cooler weather events. That and heavy drizzle. Rain versus drizzle is about droplet size, and heavy is about the volume of rain falling so the two are mutually exclusive. Is not common for sure, but I hear it's quite of to step out into little dogs but get soaked in seconds.

Also first real snow of the year here. It was less than they thought thankfully but still looks like an inch or two.

It was 34 this morning and bright sunshine through the woods.  I hope it stays breezy for a couple days to dry out the ground a bit.  I need to do one last leaf vac project before putting it away for the winter and the ground is still too soft.

So, assuming no umbrella, do you get wetter walking normally in the rain or running to get through it faster?  Inquiring minds...

Not complaining about weather because we have had some great great weeks this fall but every time I go to clean up it rains that weekend 😂 not conducive to finish it 100%

I think the myth busters did just this and found running got you wetter overall, but that was a while ago.

24 for a low last night, frost and ice all over this morning.  Glad I remembered to bring in the ball washer the other day.  Looks like a high today of about 42 then each day warms up a few degrees until we are in the mid 50's by the end of the week.

Thats a nice trend to have right there. Same trend on temps here in NH but will end at about 40 not the 50s

What a difference a day makes. Wife and I played yesterday - blue skies, mid 70's and no wind. Today it's 61 wind gusting to 19 and overcast. Can't believe I'm admitting this- I went for a bike ride tonight and had jeans on with a polartec vest over a long sleeve tee shirt. So for all of you Floridians I made fun of the other day who were wearing a parka and long pants in 60's weather I'm sorry for making fun of you. 😬
