FWIW .... I actually liked the fantrax site and thought the draft room was fine.

 

It was really cool that we could see both divisions on the same site; I don't know of any other fantasy site that can do that.

 

IMHO, if we can get Fantrax back on line and working I think that would be ideal.  Maybe even have completely separate draft times for the 2 divisions so we aren't bumping into each other...

I think we are leaning on keeping the league intact on fantrax but possibly splitting the draft times like you mentioned or drafting on espn or wherever and importing the draft results to fantrax. There are a couple more places that you can have split leagues like this but they get really pricey. Now I see why lol

Seems like a solid solution, its a lot of setup time, but I don't see why it wouldnt work.

 

Can you just make separate leagues in Fantrax since all of our stuff is already there and draft as if its two seperate leagues? Might save you some time.

Its weird since I set up my pre draft rankings before the draft in case I couldnt make it.  Obviously that list was not followed     On the bright side this time I only got 1 kicker

I had my rankings setup too. Before we gave up something like 16 of the top 20 disappeared. It did give me 3 guys that aren't even on teams to go with bortles and brissett.

Understand that it didn't follow preset rankings because those players appeared to be already taken - it gave us the best of the left over dregs.

 

Unless it's Sunday evening I won't be able to participate in a live draft so please let us know about the draft ASAP so that we might set our rankings up.

 

BTW I did find that process far easier on fantrax than other sites.

First I'm hearing of it. I don't think we can get one set up that quickly. Plus we are still waiting to hear back from Fantrax.

It was tossed around a bit on the chat last night as an option.  Several had left by that point.  No problem.

FWIW, I was able to clear the rosters and get the full player pool back in tact. I'm running the draft right now and it actually appears to be working. You guys are free to log into the draft and test making picks and such if you've got time.

 

 

Edit: Not working. Same problems as yesterday and I was the only one logged in. I submitted another ticket.

I did 2 mock drafts on their website today and it worked like a charm....took about 15 minutes for 18 rounds

Ok...... Bear with me guys, but I think we have a workaround.

 

1) Fantrax has created a separate league for each of our divisions. If you log into Fantrax, you'll see the one you're assigned to under "my leagues"

 

2) These leagues are aptly titled:

Truth-Draft Only

Digest-Draft Only

 

 

3) We will use these leagues for.... Drafts only. I just did a test run and it worked as planned.

 

 

4) I will then export the draft results back into our combined league and delete the "draft only" leagues. Apparently other leagues have completed this step with success.

 

 

5) Everything will work as planned

Q1) Does that make sense to everyone/is everyone cool with that?

 

Q2) Draft tomorrow or Saturday? Time of day? I vote to draft tomorrow so I have extra time to fix broken things if it comes to that. Tomorrow night is ideal but can also do mid day. The 2 leagues can be scheduled at different times, they don't have to go together.

I am good with that.  I would prefer to draft sometime after 4:30 cdt if drafting tomorrow.  Otherwise anytime but sunday morning works this weekend for me.

Week 1 is still happening. Mostly because we need it to for the playoffs to work.

 

We'll figure out the scoring later. Let's worry about getting players on our teams first
