Hellll no they shouldn’t. Like a fan at a baseball game getting hit. Everyone knows the risk and nobody cares until they’re the one getting hit.

It's unfortunate that this happened and I do feel for the person, however, compensation will open the door forever to lawsuits. You know that attending these types of events - golf, baseball, etc there is the remote possibility that you might get hit/injured by a errant ball.

Agree.  Harsh and as unsympathetic as it may sound, such action will set precedence.  That said, I do believe she will get some undisclosed compensation but without any admission of liability or negligence from any party or business entity.  It will also be interesting to see if the tours make changes to where patrons can view play.  As I mentioned in the Ryder Cup Week thread, I'm often amazed where they allow and folks choose to stand - especially shots out of thick ruff, pine straw, etc.
