We were plying in AZ this last week and she wanted me to let the awesome folks at Sub70 know she loves them. She is hitting her 5 wood almost as fair and more accurate that her driver. She absolutely loves the 7 wood. It’s her go to club rather than her 6H or 4H. I can’t thank the Sub70 people enough as my wife is loving golf more and more which makes it easier for me to get out and play as well. Selfish I know, but happy wife more golf. Good to hear on the fairway woods. I’m skeptical compared to OEMs that can put in a ton of R&D. I’ll likely go to them when I decide to get back into the fairway game. if I ever break 75, I’ll treat myself to a CB/TC combo. those look beautiful. Riderlane
So I'm looking around for new irons and Sub 70 has really peaked my interest. My only hold up is no true fitting. I keep hearing fitting is a huge help and I've never been fitted. So if I went SUB 70 I would probably just get a basic shaft on the 699 but really don't know if that's what i should do or not. I'm debating going to PXG for a fitting considering similar reviews and price. I'm still pretty new in golf and finally just broke 100 so maybe my concerns are pointless and any new clubs would be an upgrade. ejgaudette and GolfSub70 2 Quote Driver: G425 SFT 10.5* w/ Ping Tour 65 Wood: ROGUE Project X Hzrdus Yellow 83 6.0 83G Stiff Hybrids: Profile Platinum 5h Irons: Profile Platinum 6-PW 4i JPX-850 Forged w/True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 X100 Iron Steel Shaft Wedge: Profile Platinum 56* Putter: Profile Platinum Balls: Chrome soft

First off welcome to the forums and even as a 100 shooter the right equipment can definitely help or many will say try some lessons, but then again we have a whole thread with all the new stuff being bought so we get the pull of new shiny stuff. I know the Sub70 team is very responsive and will do a virtual fit over the phone, and if you are able to get on a launch monitor and get some spec that can help. Of course it is not the same as a true fitting experience. There are other options but such as if you get to a store with a Mizuno fitting cart they might have a tool called the shaft optimizer that you take a few swing and it will recommend the best 3 shafts for you. Again you could take that to the Sub70 call. Good luck in your search and be sure share what you find back here. If you get fit locally we can certainly build something using those specs. We should have or be able to get whatever you need from a grip, shaft and specs (loft/lie, swing weight, etc) standpoint. We would just use a head that is a similar model to whatever you hit best. We have 10 iron models at the moment, two hybrids (soon to be three), two wedges (soon to be four), 10 putters, two drivers, etc...so there is likely an option in the Sub 70 lineup similar to any popular option out there at this point. We can always discuss over the phone, by email or through our website chat system as well. We'll do everything we can to get you exactly what you need. If you ever have any questions just let us know. Thank you! Riderlane, cnosil, Thin2win and 1 other

JFish350
They also have the demo option. I used this to figure out which irons I wanted based off the suggestion they list on the website to narrow down the decisions. I couldn't be more happy with my Sub70's. bbcmonty
I now have a bag full of Sub70 clubs. I am someone who is looking for easy to hit clubs. I am about a 20 handicap. I started with a Sub70 5 wood (939X) last year and recently bought their game improvement irons (799) and a driver (849D). I have not had much good weather to test, but the times I did get out, the irons performed well and the driver was phenomenal, i.e. easy to hit straight. I would definitely consider these better than the Ping irons that Club Champion fit me into several years back. And the driver is the easiest to hit I have ever had and that includes Ping, Callaway, Wilson, Mizuno, etc. I'll keep you posted on how they work out. And yes, as of now, I am a Sub70 Fanboy! russtopherb, Hobert, cnosil and 2 others 5 Quote Changes regularly, but currently: PXG 0211 Driver PXG 0211 Z Irons (7 - PW) Cleveland Launcher Halo 18 degree hybrid Mizuno STX 5 Subzero 939X 5 wood Lab Golf 2.1 Putter

Popular Post Msnarr84
Not sure if this necessarily tracks in shiny metal forum, but as far as recent sub70 purchases, I just picked up the new 949x fairway wood and it is perhaps one of the best 3 woods I've ever hit right out of the bag...no warm up to test and hit 5/5 fairways with it. Honestly feels like it wants to go only straight. I was always in the category of why hit 3 wood when it's not that much straighter than my driver anyways; but this one feels like it actually fits the mold of fairway finder. Haven't had extensive use off the deck yet to grade it in that aspect. It's also far better looking than the website and feels spectacular; hearkens back to some of the callaway xhot fairways in terms of sound and feel: very much that muted "wood" like feel and "thwack" sound, alternative to tinnier metal on the other side of the spectrum. Also doesn't hurt when, after an upcharge shaft, it's still 50$ cheaper than the big guys. tommc23, jahedric22, Vegan_Golfer_PNW and 9 others 12 Quote Driver: Titleist TSi3 - Fujikura Pro 2.0 Tour Spec 6X Woods: Sub70 949x - Fujikura Pro 2.0 Tour Spec 7X Irons: Sub70 639 Black MB 4-P - TT DG X100 ; Sub 70 699 Pro 3i Wedges: Sub 70 286 52* & 56* ; Sub 70 JB 60* Putter: Scotty Cameron Newport Ball: Titleist Pro V1

Also doesn't hurt when, after an upcharge shaft, it's still 50$ cheaper than the big guys. how is this off the deck?
