Happy Birthday @Woodrow72! 

Took the wife’s car in for tires today and while we were out decided to stop by a bread store and see what they had. Bad idea. Ended up with a loaf of bread and a box of cinnamon rolls. Got home, made a cup and had a roll. Now I feel like I need a nap. 

Today is National Pie Day so…. get and a pick up a pie for lunch or dinner. I like pie….

Weather is warming a bit, so I’ll be getting to the range to work on a few things. Make it a great day everyone!

you can’t just stop in and go to the show.   It is an industry show and basically have to be in the industry or know someone to get you in.

That's a great idea! I do all this work at the range (the ranges I use all require you to hit off the mats) and then get out on the course and have problems with the uneven lies which I haven't practiced.

Hope your wife is doing better today @StrokerAce as I wouldn't be surprised if she is still feeling effects of the fall.

I feel for your circumstances @GolfSpy_APH. Had this same issue many years ago during travel for a corporate meeting in Warnemünde , Germany. Was not a pleasant experience to say the least.

Foggy, rainy and just crappy weather again today but I'll take it any day over the last weeks freezing conditions...

SWMBO suggested I go to Top Golf this morning and get some swings in to break the boredom of the past few days. Translation: get out of my hair before I do something I can't be held responsible for...

Good morning my fellow humans, well looks like the January thaw is about to commence with temperatures in the 40s and 50s this week. We are also supposed to get copeus amounts of rain which is going to make for a muddy mess. All you people who are still golfing hit them well and have fun.  I am jealous. Sorry.

Still raining in Baja, Mexico. Rains played havoc on the roads. Toll road to Tijuana is bad with water and mud crossing the road in places. San Diego got pummeled by heavy rains yesterday. Hopefully, I'll get out there on Thursday so I can post a score for this week's Virtual Tour board.

Can't wait for the testing to begin on the "latest and greatest" products from the PGA Show. Manufacturer claims vs test results is always interesting to me.

In my previous obsession, I ran marathons. In 2010 city officials cancelled the marathon in Myrtle Beach in February because they got 3-4 inches of snow -- all of which had melted off the roads by race morning. Some people were very unhappy with that decision.

It has now changed from what I was going to do.  The wife has decided she wants me to build a deck from the bottom of the stairs over to the net.  It will be roughly 13x10 and will sit above the bottom rail of the net by about 2 inches.  

I actually like this idea better because I will know everything is level and it will keep the muddy feet off the hitting surface.  Our backyard sits on limestone so the grass will never grow and we have hated our backyard.  At some point we want to put in artificial turf and putting/chipping area.  We have an aquaponics system that we haven't set up yet from our old house so we will also do a deck around the ponds at some point.

Who would have thought that a simple testing opportunity has turned into a whole backyard makeover, complete with your own range. Add the BBQ/smoker and refreshments fridge and your all set. Well done.

Ha!  I have 4 different bbq pits/smokers spread out already.  Our backyard gets the afternoon sun so our plan is to build a large concrete patio off to one side where we would get shade all the time and have a spot for the wife to keep all her plants and eventually put the simulator under so its enclosed.

Well guys, overnight rain ruined my plan of getting on the course for the first time in a few weeks today. There's standing water all over the course and greens from the rain last night and the snowfall finally thawing out. Look like it'll be another day of living in the gym and looking longingly at the fairway from my office window haha! 

All the news of new clubs and products that has come out lately has me really excited for spring when we have fitting days at our club. I bought a lot of new clubs in 2023 so I'm not sure what I will be in the market for, but it seems like many brands have made a significant improvement with their drivers compared to last year's model.
