Hey there, MGS!

First timer here, just joined the forum as I dive deeper into the game. Have owned clubs for the past 13 years and played sparingly for some of that time, then just stopped playing all together about 7 years ago. Decided to get back into it now as a way to have some "me" time away from two young toddlers and my lovely wife, and have played weekly since the start of this season and am loving it! Even upgraded my bag a little from my original clubs, which certainly adds to the fun.

Excited to learn more about everything and see what this forum has to offer. Appreciate any tips on best threads to follow here or any tips in general.

Hope everyone is having a great week and staying cool in the middle of this heatwave. If you do get out to play make sure you stay hydrated.

I picked up a dozen Vice Tour golf balls. Never hit them before, but I took an educated gamble to see how this ball might fit me as I play more rounds. I have hit most of the others in the Vice lineup, but I think this one might be in the sweetspot for me. We shall see!

I grabbed a dozen Vice Tour balls recently, too, but haven't hit them yet. Need to use up a few old Nike Mojo balls I still have from my days playing in 2011 lol! Excited to give the Vice Tour balls a try as I've heard good things about the Vice line in general.

Welcome to the asylum, uh, the GMT! You'll find the inmates are generally friendly, or at least well sedated. And it's a great place to hang out with fellow obsessives, and find out about clubs, and balls, and bags, and rangefinders, and all sorts of other things you didn't even know existed!

Welcome to the forum! Glad to hear you’re getting back into golf. There so much to soak up here, and it’s hard to stay away for too long. I’m pretty new to the forum too, but I like checking out what other people are playing and reading through the reviews. There’s also the regional threads where you can talk to people more so from your area. Sometimes they do meet-ups and play together.

I follow Dan Grieves and Andy Carter (both in the UK) on Skillest and have come close to pulling the trigger on online lessons. I plan on testing out the platform with a lesson or two with Andy Carter this year. I haven't had a check-in lesson since last spring and I know I've picked up some bad habits. I like his Youtube content and his style/ approach. I tried to make an in-person lesson work on a trip to my homeland last year but couldn't fit it in. He is based at a course v close to my former home and workplace.

I've read Dan Grieves' book cover to cover a couple of times and consume his youtube content religiously. I like the idea of his online 3-release school, but I'm not in a position to commit to that right now. I need full swing and driver adjustments first.

Great write up..I actually had no idea swing coaches could work from online (guess I should've bc everything is done online these days).. Ready to read part 2 and the comparison between online and in person.. I think I would like online a little better bc I wouldn't see the disappointment in the coaches eyes when it takes me a min to catch on to the drill.. Could take my time and master it before going to the next video/drill.. Time would definitely be on your side online

It's a back to work Thursday after a day off yesterday. It was a good day off, the weather was a little warm, but nearly perfect for a round of golf. 

It's also community call day and I'm looking forward to the discussion this evening.

Not much on my front other than waiting for surgery day to get here. I'm nervous but looking forward to not have my legs go numb. 

I do have a tee time for Saturday and one last glamping trip this weekend.

Good morning Spies - another crazy busy work week, but I’ve been able to get some good practice time with Chewie the DF3. We are approaching the part of the year in GA where golf is nearly impossible after noon, but I’m going to try and sneak in a round this weekend if the weather holds.

Good morning, Spies! Up at the crack of dawn in Philly for another one of our events. These things come dangerously close to working for a living. Got back in the Fit For Golf swing last night at the hotel after 2+ weeks of inactivity and my body said what is this? It was a workout I'd done before, but still. Involved some jumping, for which my knees are chastising me this morning. They thought I was through with basketball 30 years ago after that sprained ankle.

Good morning MGSpies on a wet to start Community Call Thursday here in WNY with heavy rains passing to the north of my basement command bunker from where I am working on this zero commute workday  coffee already in the mug and wrangling the work computer onto the secure network  Yesterday began with an early before 8am tee time with regular partner Jim @The1C3man who joined the forum yesterday during our 19th hole recovery time, and after a couple hours cool down (it was 90F and humid) headed to the afternoon/evening sessions of PGA HOPE at the home of the WNY PGA HQ into the sunset.  Today has golf with The Ice Man @The1C3man after slaving on the keyboard is done (missing you out there with us Marc @Marc Threeput) and more good things are expected from the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D which is still in testing mode in my bag and you can read all about that in the link below my signature if you are not reading this on your phone app.  Hope to see many on the community call  we will be connecting onto from the course again today and hope golf is a part of your day too!

My littlest one is graduating from pre-school today (I’m not crying, you’re crying) and the. We have another summer ball baseball game under the lights at 7:30.

Good morning spies,

In anticipation of my league round on Saturday I went to the range yesterday. I usually start with low clubs and work my way up as my routine. After 3-hits with each club, I go back to whichever I didn’t hit well on its first swing. Then, go through the upcoming course layout and play it as if I was simulating the round. However, yesterday I hit the ball horribly.. dare I even say, yips-esque. So, I lined up a tee time on Friday to get a practice round in prior to the Saturday league round. Wish me luck, and hope that the extra work translates! Anyways, have a good, bogey free thirsty Thursday fellas!

Good morning spies!

Back to work today after a day off yesterday. Definitely feels like Monday, but the week is almost over, which is a great feeling. Should be a relatively easy workday, which means I'll be able to make the Community Call this afternoon. 

Temperatures finally coming down to more "normal" levels after a few days on the surface of the sun. Hoping to get to the driving range one more time before I leave for my golf trip Sunday morning. Will likely try either tomorrow night or Saturday, but we'll see. Need to figure out my 2-iron since it was giving me issues yesterday.

Very cool to see another great testing opportunity with the Graphite Design driver shafts. I had one in the bag most of last year and was very impressed with the quality. It wasn't the right fit for me in the end, but I'm excited to see what the testers think when the time comes. Shoutout once again to the Forum staff for securing these opportunities for us!

Looking forward to watching some golf today while I work. The KPMG Women's PGA Championship is played on an extremely tight course in the PNW. Should be a good test for the best players in the world.

Good Morning Golf Spies!!

Yep Summer is here alright... The heat has arrived here, but .. it's not 100+ (so far) and the humidity has been relatively ok (so far).

Gonna play 9 in a little while; not sure of the forecast over the next few days and there's an (another) outing in the afternoon. Plus I wanna see if I can remember .. and implement .. any of the good stuff from last weekend's clinic. 

Hope y'all have a really nice Pre-Friday today and get something good and\or fun done!!
