Happy Thursday morning spies! Starting the day off with mid-60s and rain today. Looks like that may actually be how the whole day goes if my weather app is accurate. I don’t really have anything too exciting going on today so……hope that all of you have a wonderful day!

Good morning Spies on a warm and wet Thursday morning. Later appearance here this morning for me, as we lost power at the house about 4:40AM EST and I made the hour commute into work to be able to get back online.

Drove past the Electric Company vehicles repairing a pole which appeared to have been knocked over not too far from home. 

Glad to read that you are getting better JD, feeling good seems to make everything a little easier.

Looking forward to the community call later today, and after the call ends, I will leave work and am really looking forward to golfing tomorrow in 70 degree F weather in late October here.

Make your day the best it can be, and hope that something golf related may be in your plans.

Good morning all. Got back from our 6 days of golfing in Augusta it was fantastic. The weather was great, one morning we had to wait out a thunder storm before our round but every other day it was sunny and 72 to 74 degrees. The courses were in a lot better shape than when we went in March so we all agreed we are going in October from now on. We only had 9 guys this time but you couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of guys to golf with. Looks like Wednesday through Friday back home are going to be nice for golf but after that the weather looks really  crappy for a while, oh well winter is knocking on the door. Play well people and have fun.

Good morning all from a wet and rainy Thursday morning. Supposed to have rain all day today, but tomorrow is looking mild and actually quite nice for a late fall day here in Wisconsin. My wife and kids are going to my in-laws cabin this weekend, but I am staying behind to log some hours in the tree stand. While I do not say this to sound unkind, I am actually quite looking forward to the weekend as I don't get to spend a whole lot of one on one quality time with my dad anymore. Hunting is something we've shared for the better part of 20 years of my life, and it's going to be great spending time together in the woods and at my parents' house. Will probably have a few beers, fire up the grill, play some pool and hopefully knock down a couple whitetails. 

In other news, I received the Flightscope Mevo I won in an Instagram giveaway the other day and got out on the range with it for the first time yesterday. I've started an unofficial review thread, which you can find linked in this post or by clicking here. Follow along if you're in the marked for a lower priced launch monitor and see if it would do the trick for you!

It's starting out a really, almost unseasonably, nice day here .. hmm maybe better set aside the yard work and go play some golf...

Practiced some yesterday and got back a little bit of confidence in my ability to put golf club face onto golf ball, and managed to do it with different styles of ball striking implements, too.

Greetings on this “Almost Friday”. It’s overcast and damp in Central NY this morning. One cup down second will be on the course. I’m giving joggers a try in the course apparel department this morning. It may anger the “get off of my lawn” crowd but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.

I really need to move somewhere I can golf year around.

Good morning MGSpies from a later in the morning post than usual on a workday from a sometimes wet this Thursday morning in WNY.  Nearly half the workday is past and coffee well into the second mug, looking at a tee time this afternoon to play these last warm days of 2023 regardless of precip  and hoping golf is a part of your day too 
And thanks for reminding me to take the Community Call along with me on my round this afternoon!!!

Rain just keeps coming around here! We are much over due though as it’s been one of the driest years I can remember. Looks like temps are going to start dropping over the weekend as well. I’m supposed to be playing in a Halloween scramble this weekend, but we’ll see if that gets called off.

Good Day Spies!! 

Nice Thursday morning - 67 degrees at 7:15am tee time.  Got to walk 18 holes this morning.  What nice comfortable walk.  Wind picked up on the back 9, overall good walk with golf buddies, not a bad round for not playing since last Saturday.  Shot 2 over.  So first hole it was still kind of dusk, and first buddy gets up tees up his ball.  Mind you the ball is a white ball.  He hits his drive & a blue streak illuminates the sky.  LOL.  My buddies bought glow golf balls, different colors.  The balls are white, but upon compression they light up - one was green, one red & one blue. It was really cool! LOL

Back at work this afternoon, new work computer set up & ready to go.  Just have to hook up home printer/scanner.  Finishing up some coffee & ready to brew some espresso!

Well it would appear that I have caught the covids...  other than feeling worn down/tired, I feel decent but it makes sense why I have been taking naps. Looks like no golf the rest of the week.  I'm glad I played Tuesday so I can enter a score this week.

Now here's to hoping it stays mild and the wife and kids don't get it.  Although it's highly possible the son brought it home from school.

It's nice here this morning with a warm day forecast. I was looking at the weather coming up and see we're going to see freezing weather toward the middle of the upcoming week.

Good Friday morning all!

End of a nice week, but made even better by a round of golf coming this afternoon. Next week late fall to early winter temps come in. So going to enjoy the next couple days of warmth and enjoy that the allow us to hit our goal of not turning on our heat until Nov. 1.

@jdparker Hope you and the family get through Covid without too much trouble just went through it myself and was not too bad, son was even asymptomatic the whole time. Get better soon.

Good Friday morning everyone!  

Sleep schedule is all jacked up with this covid and sleeping on and off all day yesterday but feel pretty good.  I appreciate everyone checking in!  Kiddos and wife seem fine so far.  @ejgaudette glad to hear y'all got thru it with some ease and I believe my son was the same way and probably picked it up from school.

Enough of the downside...  I hope for those that have the appropriate weather, that you get to play some golf in the next couple days and for those that are shutting it down, enjoy the indoor/simulator golf rounds.

Solo parenting this weekend, so I decided to smoke a Boston butt on the egg (wife isn’t the biggest bbq fan) - looking forward to a great weekend with the kids (and football)!

That's going to be some good eats for a couple days!  We make a spicy ranch and do tacos and then use leftovers for pulled pork enchiladas.

Good morning everyone. First hints of winter are peaking around the corner as temps settle in around the high 30s for the next several days. Was hoping the weather man would get this wrong and allow for my Sunday round to not be miserable. Alas, looks like I better prepare the thermal base layer with the rest of my clothes. Hope others have a warmer weekend ahead than I!

Good morning MGSpies on a dark wet Friday in WNY that will be staying mostly dry and getting the yard ready for the season change that happens this weekend instead of the usual work magic online from basement mission central, will be cutting grass, putting up fencing to protect what we don't want deer and rabbits destroying over the winter, and covering what is left outside under a tarp cover.  Tee time this afternoon might be let go if the partners who wanted golf last weekend also want golf this weekend, definitely worth saving the energy (and good shots!) for playing with them  hope golf is a part of your day!
