Popular Post Kenny B
A couple of photos from our freezing round yesterday... After a beautiful drive on #1 and a nice LW onto the FRONT of the green to a middle pin, here's my 3rd shot from off the back... green is a little frozen. Below is view from par 3 #4 tee... the #1 green shares the same green and the other side of the grass mound on the left by the pot bunker is where I had to chip from in the above photo. #3 fairway on the right. Not another stupid person in view on the entire course! The forward tees on the par 5 #9 covered in goose poop. For some reason geese like the forward tees more than the others. A year ago this month we had a big wind storm and we lost several trees. This one was a beautiful evergreen that blocked the sight of a port-a-potty. It could have been saved if the city brought in a crane and put it back in the ground... but NO, maintenance removed it. They planted this new evergreen in it's place, but it's in a spot that got very little irrigation. This week it was decorated for Christmas... They put it in the same spot as the old tree, but the old tree had lots of roots that ran to where the grass got watered. This little tree never had a chance. They could have run a line near the tree but I guess no-one thought it necessary. Every day we played, we brought it water (my wife comes from a lumber family) but sadly the 100º+ days scorched it. I wonder if they will try again. If they get one to survive it will be many years before it's big enough to hide the port-a-potty. I do have a meeting scheduled during the community call, but I'm hoping it gets cut short so I can hop on the call for a bit. snoopy79, I found a simulator about 5 minutes from my house and I was so excited! I checked it out yesterday and did numbers testing on the Titleist White Box balls. The only issue I had was that the spin was not picking up. Otherwise it was a nice little place! Hopefully yours works out for you! Have a good day!Sweet! Popular Post ParFore74x
Good morning, happy Friday, and welcome to December spies! This week has kicked my butt and I am really looking forward to some rest tomorrow. Supervisors came around looking for volunteers to work tomorrow and I told them ‘no’ since I’ve worked the last two before Thanksgiving weekend. Had a buddy stop over yesterday that isn’t quite happy with his grips on grips irons, wants to be a little thicker. I was talking with him about adding wraps vs going to a midsize grip so he stopped over to compare his standard Z-Grip to my midsize as well as a few experiments that I have been working on with regripping other clubs. I think we found a setup that he likes better than what he has and I actually thoroughly enjoyed sharing the knowledge. Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!! Popular Post BLD7
Good morning Spies! UPS says a package is scheduled for delivery today, which is always exciting - not sure if that will be golf related or not. Between the various items that get sent to the house for work, and the fact that it is December, I'll have to wait to see what name is on the package. At the office we are having a gingerbread house building event around lunch so I think I might head in to partake in the festivities. These events are usually pretty fun, and a nice little perk. Popular Post Rob Person
Good morning. Due for some nasty weather here. The Sheriff's Charity golf tournament has been rescheduled until next week, as well as the annual first weekend of December numerous Christmas events being held around the city and county. Plan was to finish yard sweeping the 2 acres of pine needles and leaves I left behind, but that's a wash too. Figures the weather turns ugly on my off duty weekend.
