Glad I got the flu at the end of the work year.  it did kick me the past 4 days. No golf, ugh & no appetite, which was good!

Much obliged…  Desperate times call for desperate measures…Will be attempting to find a Carmen Miranda hat of lemons, a few leis made up of strings of garlic cloves, and will slather on some honey from head to toe. Thus,  I will be somewhat prepared for the next onslaught ( you all know it’s coming ) by the “Grimacing Girl Grim Reaper “

Headed to Kentucky today to visit with extended family at a state park. If it stays dry there will be a mini golf tourney that the kids will enjoy and the adults will take a little too serious, followed by pizza at the local place that serves a pretty good pizza.

It's looking to be a nicer day here, it'll be cool and cloudy and I don't think it's supposed to rain. I'm enjoying my morning cup and watching our pug trying to figure out how to get under the blanket our weenie dog is cocooned under. She's sweet, not smart. 

@Coachbutt I hope you recover well from the leg surgery and get back to normal soon. I can understand the feeling of depression when something's like this happens, I thought I was going to have to have a sub talar fusion after injuring my ankle in July. I spent months in a funk thinking I wasn't going to get to play again for at least a year. We're here for you.

I don't have much on the agenda today, just some errands with my wife later on.

Good morning all and happy Saturday! Not too much on deck for today other than hopefully going to a Mexican restaurant we really like for lunch. Can’t go wrong with a good margarita

Boys will play some Wii and we will largely just be hanging out relaxing today. 

I do believe my MIL bought a “make your own donut” kit to do with the kids this morning as well, so that’ll be entertaining haha.

@Coachbutt I truly hope you can pull out of the funk! I too have been there. 9 months and 5 surgeries on right leg and ankle. 80% of it spent as elevated, non weight bearing, couch surfing. It will get better!  Prayers for you!

Good morning Spies on what appears to be the first dry day here since Christmas. Colder though, with high temperatures staying in the 30's for the next 8 days.

Eye doctor appointment went better than expected, although I will have a follow-up with a specialist early in 2024, but only for one eye concern, and not both as I originally feared.

Planning to get back to the range later today, first need to wrap up some household chores.

Hoping to watch the Lion's and Cowboy's game later tonight, and really looking to see how they Lion's may "stack-up" against a consistent team like the Cowboys have been.

Good morning spies! Had a sore throat and headache most of the day yesterday and isolated myself from the wife and kid just to be safe. Slept on the couch in the basement where I just woke up after a solid 9 hour sleep. I feel like a million bucks now. Definitely needed a day of rest.

Good Morning everyone!!  Dense fog again this morning and 35º; apparently we are playing golf today at 9:20am.  At least there is no wind, but rain is in the forecast starting about... wait for it... 10am.    Not my favorite thing to do, but I will persevere to make my wife happy.

Hope you day is filled with fun stuff, and if you are traveling, please do it safely!!

Good morning MGS ! No golf today as my other 3 have a degree tolerance around 50°, and mine is 40°. Maybe it's time to find new friends ( nope, they are my voice of reason). Watched a YouTube video from Alex Elliott this morning and going to use that in my practice today! Have a great last weekend and Happy New Year to all.  Hit'em straight!!!

Good morning MGSpies on the last Saturday of 2023 from still not cold enough for snow WNY.  Waving in case @Byrnzee is passing by about now on his way past from Upstate to points west on his way home, as anyone passing on I-90 just south of Buffalo passes within a couple miles of my backyard, so be sure to wave as you go by.  Could it be possible to golf in this mild winter on the day before New Year's Eve?  Hope golf is a part of your day! 

edit - and what do you know, we have white precipitation descending to Earth in these here parts...

Wrapping up our trip today, and driving back to Indy in just a bit, on the heels of two trips to the airport to drop my parents (5 am) and brother and family (7 am) for their flights.  All good and looking forward to a relaxing drive and home/beds tonight.

Good morning spies cool day yesterday low 50s but played a round of golf with Odin x1 balls l finally scoffed one hit driver ball hit cart path gotta members bounce n extra 20 yards but the scuff was bad just as good of cover is any other ball this ball plays good in cold weather also look at my pictures this Odin x1 keeps up with my tp5 ball im still impressed with this ball spy family y’all enjoy ur family n b safe n happy year to everyone my God Bless u all hit em straight

Yikes! and double Yikes!!;…. I feel you, my brother.  Sometimes it is hard to remember the two basic rules of marriage for husbands ( well at least the rules given to me on the altar during my public indenture ceremony )

1) When a groom says; “ I do “ it really means that he “ never will  again “

2) Girl  math says; husband  + marriage = pain

Today we have a birthday party for our friends 1 year old and the wife has a baby shower for our cousin so we will be pulling double duty and running around most of the day. Meeting up later with family to exchange gifts for a late Christmas and then back home to relax… maybe..

Starting to get the itch and really looking forward to my sim league starting up next week so that will be a nice way to start the new year!

Saturday morning is here my fellow spies, the Bon voyage for the last weekend in 2023 is full on. 
   Practice was pretty meh..  yesterday. Did find a little bit of improvement with the Edison Enforcers. Had to severely change my set up. Not sure if it is the new swing path I am trying to commit to, the multiple layers of clothing, or a combination of the two. 
  The Ancient Agers are using curmudgeon power to take the noon tee-times. There is a heck of a lot difference in temperatures, 20 or more degrees warmer by noon, from the early tee times that we normally appropriate…. Errr schedule. 
   Seems the Titleist irons I ordered are meandering and galavanting around America on their way to Texas. This is rather concerning; as the reason for getting the Titleist irons was to mitigate my golf shots from meandering and galavanting around the golf course.

Another not morning good morning!

Forum staff slack has been blowing up today. When I say these guys have ideas I mean it's a Rachel Thanksgiving cake of ideas. There is every thing in there.

Many are excellent and we are very excited to put some of these into action. Even if some sound a little weird or funny, we think it will all come together to make an excellent product.

There are some out there ideas - a suggestion of shirtless content came up - however in the end I really hope everyones reactions to the new content, ideas, features and projects are as follows.

Sunday…..My spies, your last chance to make a statement an a impact this year.      
   The Ancient Agers are hijacking the noon tee times again today. Weather by tee time will be a little better than fabulous. Should start at about 65°and finish the day with a high into the mid 70’s. 
  Yesterday was a fantastic weather day that was complemented with a great group of golfing gents. The only thing mucking up the day was my horrendous exhibition of golf. The non-performing contagion of the Edison’s infected almost the entire bag. I certainly have played worse, I just cannot remember and do not want to remember when that was. While most of my atrocious playing and results were of my own doing….. there was the added element of the greens keeper; his  either having been stiffed by Santa on Christmas or more likely Santa came back and repoed what gifts had been left. How else to you explain pin placements like this?

After all,  it is not like he is married, which would be a legitimate cause for this behavior.  
   May this last day of the year end spectacularly for you and for those that you care about and that care about you, my spies…
