White takes driver out of your hand on quite a few holes.   You could play driver, but you are hutting through gaps and if you don't hit is straight the ball is lost.

If I get to play the course, and I get on the green, I would still want to toss a ball in that bunker just to see if I can get it out and be able to putt. I love a good challenge.

While I was in Scotland I learned how to deal with bunkers like this:

FORGET THE GREEN. Go out backward, or sideways, or whatever you have to do so that you're not looking at the Grand Canyon more than once. Better to be pitching for par than trying to sink a sand shot for a quad. In the case of the guy in the middle picture he would have a much better shot if he were maybe 15-20 yards farther from the camera than he is. So if you don't want to go all the way back to the fairway, pitch back 20 yards and then try your sand shot.

That would be fine with me, use either a 4 iron or hybrid off the tee to keep it in play. Plus at that shorter yardage, still would not have long irons into greens even on the Par 5's.

It only took until the Farmers was finished to figure out why I was confused by Matt @GolfSpy SAM saying I had an autopick for this week and was doing well with it.

Trust me, I am very happy whenever my picks go well.  What I was reacting to was the comment I had autopicked because we are only allowed 3 before we are DQ from the pool. 

With the last 2 weeks being a buzzsaw with weather and being well exercised from digging snow to get out of the driveway, or to the driveway, I didn't realize the last one I picked for was the American Express played a week ago.  

@Michael.Sandoval33 you definitely want to get on, I've only missed a few and they are always a good hour of each week

Enjoyed the call today as always. We had some fun discussion on the TaylorMade testing opportunity, calves, and excel spreadsheets where I think @GolfSpy SAM might have gotten a little excited. Plus, I got an idea for something to test on the Mevo.

Enjoyed the call. I was yawning a lot. Brutal 7 hour drive home. Got in the driveway 10 minutes before the call started.  Traveling again next week. Flying into Atlanta Tuesday afternoon to meet up with my Manufacturers Rep.  Then driving to Birmingham AL Wednesday morning for meetings around lunch time. Then drive back to Atlanta for a flight home Thursday night. I’ll probably miss next weeks call, but you never know.

Another great call, and another great turn-out of members at least listening in or making appropriate comments.

When I sign-out, it weas so I could make my usual hour drive home through the various suburbs of the Motor City area.

To my dismay, President Biden was town for some visits, and it happened to be in areas I normally travel. They had main roads closed and traffic re-routed, so my normal ride home actually took about 2 hours to go 35 miles. 

Great to hear from @cnosil today, and knowing that his doctors stated all went well. Hoping he can be close to 100% by May, if not, he will have a great time anyways.

Looking forward to next weeks call, and what Jamie, @GolfSpy_APH, Matt, @GolfSpy SAMand Ben @GolfSpy_BEN may have for discussion topics.

You should go out and find some old soccer socks that go all the way up to your thighs. Rock those as well. I had some up to about a year ago when one of my pups decided it was time to play tug o war with it when I was holding it

it became apparent on the first day of golf at Queenstown Harbor that some of our members have substantially well developed calf muscles.

It was but one of the enjoyable attributes that surfaced to draw a great deal of attention, humor in good measure, and probably more exaggerated than it would have been if at least one member of the fairer gender was present to provide a single iota of civility to the weekend.

As it was, civility was hiding somewhere in the salt marshes or went with @Yellow Ball to the depths of the water hazards and we had a truly Sophomoric and jovial time that has us all looking forward to next time, and the time after that no matter where it happens to be.

This (of course) is all "here say" and may or may not be true.  Only way to find out is...
