GolfSpy_APH
I'm really wanting to find a rangefinder or shot tracking System. My cheap one lasted a season and I will try replacing the battery, but think it's about done. I think the H4 LX or whatever it's called from Shot Scope is likely the answer, but still want to see what's out there. Outside of that I am pretty set. Maybe wedges, but the ones I have now are still good. GolfSpy_SHARK, IndyBonzo, GolfSpy_BEN and 2 others 5 Quote as of Nov 6, 2023 (Past WITB) Driver: Paradym TD w/ GD ADDI 6X Driver Shootout! GolfSpy_BEN
Since it is a wish list, and a budget doesn’t need to be satisfied, I would include the following: 1. A rangefinder, preferably non magnetic, IYKYK. 2. The aforementioned driver head/shaft combination that fits my swing 3. Steelfiber i110 stiff shafts for my irons Beyond that, I can get through next season without changing the iron shafts or driver out, so really the rangefinder is the only priority for next season. Josh Parker
I need to replace my wedges this next year. I haven't had these for a super long time but found them used and the 54° has some wear. I know people love the Vokeys but I'm not 100% sold on them. I want to do some testing with a few brands and dial the choice in. I also will probably replace my 3 wood at some point. I attempted to recently with a Callaway buy that was too good of a deal but after a few rounds with it, I'm not liking the flight. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
For me: maybe wedges but my Cleveland’s still have a lot of life in them maybe a fit driver but my current setup is totally gameable for me my iron play has me thinking of more players like setup but I just need to stop that nonsense. although sub70 and Takomo look on fire! balls, may ask for left dash as I really don’t need more spin. I am able to one hop and stop my XVs. I wish the new snell balls were closer to the mtb -x. lessons. My last of my three pack is gonna be used in a month or two. Did have the chance at a 5 month off-season plan for $700 (live, chat plus submissions which would be about $70 a lesson). Just can’t drop that amount right now. edit: forgot I need shoes. Golf2Much
Great thread. It's never too early to start thinking ahead and what might be on the horizon for your golf game. For me, it's: Decide if I continue to accept the halo I see in the initial version of the Shot Scope Pro LX range finder. Because I wear glasses (both prescription progressive regular and sunglasses), the eye piece to lens distance creates a visible distortion which is a bit annoying. I have to try the new one as it seems that critical distance is shorter. Decide if the Paradym X irons I reviewed are right for me in the long run. I've struggled with my irons over the last nine months. Lately, I've come to the realization it's the archer not the arrow that's to blame and sought professional help with my swing. So far it's helped. Once my swing has stabilized a bit, I want to put the Paradym X's through another round of testing to prove they should stay in the bag. Update my wedges. I've been very happy with my Edison wedges, but I've put over 300 rounds on them. Since I'm "distance challenged" with my game, I rely on my wedges as I rarely hit most par 4's in regulation. So it may be time!
