Hitting mat and net

I searched the forum and found no results for either of these off-season items.  Has anyone found a budget-friendly version of these two products that they'd put their name on recommending?  Us Snow Mexicans need something to keep us engaged through the long winter months.

Search can be wonky sometimes, but I know I've seen info in the forums.  I would also recommend checking out the main page side of Mygolfspy, they have done practice setups, nets and hitting mats in the past year or two.

The forum is full of practice set ups - not sure how or where your search key words take you.
 

Id put my name to supporting a TrueStrike mat, and Sporina net.  Budget friendly vs quality is always the trick.

Yes, quality + budget friendly = value.  And that's where my interest lies when purchasing almost everything

I bought the rukket net that came with a small mat.  It seemed to be the most popular at reasonable price from my intardnet seach.  The mat is ok, but there's definately better options out there.

From experience I would suggest a net that is fast and easy to setup.  Several years ago I bought a net, but after a while stopped using it because the setup and take down just took too long.

Has anyone ever used anything other than hitting nets?  I have my net but adding an enclosure to keep any wild mishits from seeking the neighbors house.  

I have several heavy duty shade tarps that I am thinking of putting on a pully system from the house to the back fence but wondering if they will stop a ball.

Those should work because they wouldn't be taking a direct impact, more like a side blow.

Thanks.  I can always double them up as I have several from our previous house.  We had them around our aquaponics set-up.

If they're the "mesh" looking heavy ones, you should be fine with a single layer.
