I have a Tour Edge version of the smart sole and I am pretty automatic with it out of the sand. It’s also pretty great chipping out of deep rough with it.

I found the SmartSole prior gen had too much bounce in the sand. In the fairway and rough, they are much better. The regular CBX Zip Cores have plenty of forgiveness.

Started with the Smart Sole wedges... Honestly they made it very easy for someone new but taught bad habits with all the bounce offered. These will be a big hit forsure as I really like the full face design

I'm a big fan of full face grooved wedges..these likely won't be going into my bag however it's a trend I like seeing.

I have the Taylormade Hi Toe wedges and love them. For some weird reason I can't ever hit the groves on a normal wedge cause I am always out near the toe on impact, so a full face like that are great for me. If he iron set has a Gap wedge I can hit it. But once it gets to a 52 degree wedge to 60 degrees, closer to the toe. No ide why, but if companies made full face irons for all levels and just game improvement irons, I'd give them a go

I used to have a Smart Sole S (and a C as well) and that thing was a cheat code out of the sand. However, it was pretty much only good for that, and that only so I moved away from it. These newer versions seem like the soles are a lot more versatile, so I'm sure they'll be able to go into a lot of bags.

Agree to disagree!  I have not seen one full face design that I like.  

The rest of the wedge looks nicely executed.  Similar to the CBX from earlier this month, this looks a little more grownup and polished than the previous version.

My father plays the previous version of these in Gap and SW. 50* and 58*. Way too big of a sole for me but its pretty auto. His PW is actually the Cleveland Niblick which is the original cleveland chipper. Main difference is its 35.5", vs the 34" the previous smart sole chipper was and the 35" of this model.   I have similar luck learning with the chipper and gamed it for a long time and it really helped my chipping game. I no longer need it because I can bump and run with my PW confidently and recently sold it on ebay for 80% of what I paid for it 5 years ago. If youre struggling with chipping, its a really great tool to learn technique and you can do full swings with it too. Its every bit as easy to use as the Ping Chipr but the higher loft makes me prefer it because its eaier to pop up. 

As far as the 64* addition, I dunno man. I think they would have been better with 50, 54, 60 as theres a big gap between 50* and 58*

I have the Smart Sole 4 C(hipper) which is really good from around the green and, as I started to learn last Fall, for 25–40-yard pitches when you have nothing to go over and green to work with.
