Great news about the family’s CEO.. IF you get to go home, hopefully you can leave early enough to beat the holiday traffic.

Ugh Denver traffic is hell!

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Ended up being one of those delightful days where I just put a capital “ W “ in being worthless. Quite pleased with how my hands and wrists are feeling after all the long intense work/driving done yesterday.
Her high highness the “ Countess of Community “ do gooders, spent the day out an about with her like minded female ilk. Not sure what she and they were up to, just grateful that I wasn’t in her/ their crosshairs.
@Erin B glad you made it home safely. Being home might help your lady recuperate a little faster.
Not much going on tomorrow… I will go do the full body cryotherapy in the morning, then attempt to play, “ Duck and Cover  “ from the wife person, in case she goes nuclear about some trivial thing.
Enjoy your holiday my fellow spies.. If so inclined, pause and reflect on the “ Why “ of this holiday weekend.

Finished the corn harvest.. We were a pretty pathetic picking crew. Decided against taking any of the corn as payment for what little stoop labor I provided. Not sure how many families and individuals will be helped by what was being sent to the food bank.
Had a quick shower and fully dry as I am heading off to do the cryo.
Best to all for the remaining weekend.

I agree @Michael.Sandoval33

Not something seen in Michigan, or any states I have traveled too while driving around various parts of the US.

Spent majority of today in the Brookly, MI area. Close to the Michigan International Speedway for a memorial service at a friends house situated on 40 acres. Great day for the event, and well attended by a large group of family from many states making the event.

Hoping to get to the range tomorrow, in hopes of finding some semblance of my golf game before heading to VA.

Have a good night Spies.

Still fantastic, but it has been raining steadily since 4:00 AM, and winds are a bit stronger (15 MPH, with gusts to 25 MPH) this morning. Rain is supposed to taper off by 10:00 - 11:00 today, and my foursome tees off between 10:30-10:40, so we may get a break.

I don’t expect to be so lucky tomorrow when we play the Old Course at 9:40 AM.

They made their name initially for extremely clean public bathrooms… Especially for those identifying as female.
I fondly remember the first time that her high highness used a buc-ees bathroom , she was almost ecstatic about how clean it was… I innocently remarked that I didn’t know that females had such filthy bathroom practices.. The next couple of hours of the trip were made with blissful silence. Although, I did get quite a few harrowing side eye looks, that seemed to be trademark registered for female use only. I definitely heard about my supposedly derogatory comment once we arrive at our destination. Still those few hours of silence…. Priceless.

Had a very, very enjoyable meal with some old, old friends… Not many of us left. Great food; humongous beef ribs and grilled tuna steaks, side dishes galore, and desserts to be enthralled by. I forgot to take any pictures of my culinary expertise of table clearing and cleaning. As well as my trash and garbage disposal agility in using dumpsters.
My fervent wish is that you all enjoy this special weekend…

Well today before the rain and storms moved in, SWMBO youngest granddaughter was part of the Memorial Day Parade in her city, and I drove her in the parade today.

Picture below was from pre-staging area before the parade started.

Her reign ends soon, and it wasn't the first time that we did this sort of thing, but with a large crowd, and a special salute to the service people that made it home in attendance, a special day all around.

Started raining and storming here about 6:00PM, and supposed to last through mid-morning, and then I am planning to start my drive to VA in the early afternoon. Only going part of the way and will finish the trip into VA on Tuesday.

Hope that your Sunday of this Memorial Day weekend was all you wanted or needed it to be!

Have a good night Spies!

If the above offends anybody… Sorry, NOT SORRY.

Thank you for your post and for remembering what Memorial Day means. My brother, LCpl James W. Higgins Jr was KIA on 27 July 2006 while serving in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

No one should be offended by your post. I say that because it's your right to have your opinion and to express your opinion freely. I will say that its also the right for everyone to have their opinions and to express their opinions freely. That's what it should mean to be an American. The constitutional right to free speech is the cornerstone to all democracies. However, that is our current problem. We only want to be heard but we don't want to listen. Very few across the spectrum of beliefs are willing to listen and discuss their opinions. Too often we find that it's the perception of my opinion is the correct opinion and no other opinion matters. This is where we are failing. Yes, hold true to your opinions but be open to other perspectives. Listen to what others have to say. I've had people say terrible things to me. I've had people tell me that they're happy my brother is dead because they disagreed with Operation Iraqi Freedom. That's a hard thing to be told. It's a hard thing to listen to and not respond violently. But at the end of the day, despite how vicious people can be, the right to free speech and the rights protected by the Constitution must be preserved.

Several people here know me through my runs, probably more than my golfing abilities. I carry the flag for fallen soldiers. I ran a half marathon a week ago in honor of 1st Lt Robert Seidel III. I ran 8 miles yesterday in honor of our fallen soldiers for Memorial Day while carrying the flag. I'm carrying the flag for a full marathon a week from today, June 2nd for my brothe. June 2nd wouldve been my brother's 40th birthday. I respect what the flag represents more than probably most people.

So this Memorial Day, as a Gold Star brother, I ask that you remember and honor our fallen heroes who gave their lives. Also take a moment to reflect on what they sacrificed their lives for. For the belief that we, along with other democracies, represent a beacon of hope for those who are oppressed and that the Constitution that defines the American way must be protected.

Good evening Spies from Gallipolis, OH which is about 45 minutes northwest of Charleston, WV on my way to Williamsburg.

Took the scenic route due to holiday traffic, and except for the large number of police cars seen while driving, no issues and the weather improved the farther south I travelled.

Hope that your Memorial Day was all you wanted or needed it to be.
