Toura Golf Irons Build Test: 2024 Forum Review

Not the update that I was looking for with my custom ferrules.... Can the government do ANYTHING right?!? Haha... 

But I do have a screen shot of what my guy Larry at 3-2 Customs was able to provide. Ferrules should be in house by Saturday, if not early next week. 

I was tracking down ANY custom ferrule manufacture online. Majority of which are based in Asia-Pacific and timelines to get product in house was insane. Also, their order minimums were 500 pc lots or higher. I found Larry / 3-2 Customs via Byrdie Golf. Larry provides custom ferrule options for their club builds. 

He also provides customization options for ANY, and I mean ANY idea you may have. Pricing is a little higher than I wanted to spend, but I'm not going to even try and 3D print these myself. Check out his site and please let him know that I sent you there!

I had the exact same thought!  Leave the office immediately before infecting others…it’s just the best for everyone!

Ok people listen up!! I'm not really sure why I didn't pick up this detail earlier and it kind of just dawned on me but the company that forges these clubs for Toura is Kyoei Golf Industries. I've known about them for a couple of years and have considered these as total fantasy clubs.. as in clubs so exotic and sexy that If there were a pinup model of an iron.. these would be them. 

Do yourself a favor and look up Kyoei Golf and look up pictures of the Kyoei KCM irons. Make sure nobody's around.. if you know what I mean. I don't know exactly how similar these KCM irons are and they might be the previous mold before the 2021 KCM.. but either way

This test just got kicked up a whole other level!

I've followed the Kyoei Golf IG page, and their clubs are beyond gorgeous. Total dream club. Depending on the review of the Toura CB and their forgiveness, I may give them a go.

Great intro's testers!!   This will be a fun review to follow... much different than most.  Have fun with the two-part process and keep in mind that if they don't hit straight you have no one to blame but yourself... literally... nowhere to hide

Ok I know this isn't quite academy award material but it's the best I could do at 10 pm after a 10 hour work day. My options were to leave the box unopened and sleep on it or cave to impatience and do it with half a functioning brain.. IMO waiting was just not an option

And at about 5:00 I meant to say True Temper.. not Golf Pride

Good stuff! I've mentioned this before, but there is something about the Toura head unboxing that just scratches my brain. There is no doubt I will be building something of theirs in the future.

Also, that card they included is awesome. I'm curious where the QR code takes you. If they set it up to show your specs or order confirmation that would be next level!

Ok I need some more suggestions from the forum. In the event that I happen to be etching a circular logo somewhere on the back of the club, what looks better. I honestly can't decide.

I agree. #1 is my favorite, but I would be happy with the logo at spot #3 too.

@ctg44and @TSauer I'm with ya both. My only concern that I just thought about is that these things are seriously razor thin in that area. I'm kind of thinking about structural integrity because I'd literally be engraving almost half way through. I plan to also paint fill the area so I have to get a good deep etch.

I guess to clarify, are you talking about position on the club face or boxes? I probably should label them.

My vote is 100% bottom right of the club - allows for a deep etch with no issues, and will look stunning in the bag. 

Sheesh. I have to wipe up the drool that has puddled on the ground now. 

Can't wait to see everyone else's irons!
