Interesting video from Today's Golfer in the UK...kinda verifies the rest results from the MyGolfSpy comparison that the R-15 is a tad longer...

Mark Crossfield has his review up too...

That said, I'm not real impressed. They took the SLDR and added a second weight. Wouldn't it be much cheaper to buy a second weight and install it on the current SLDR? I mean I've seen someone, as a joke, put 4 weights in the SLDR track.

In The Bag
Driver: TaylorMade M2 (2017) w/ Project X T1100 HZRDUS Handcrafted 65x
Strong 3 wood: Taylormade M1 15* w/ ProjectX T1100 HZRDUS handcrafted 75x
3 Hybrid: Adams PRO 18* w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4 Hybrid: Adams PRO 20* (bent to 21*) w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4-AW: TaylorMade P770 w/ Dynamic Gold Tour Issue Black Onyx S400

SW: 56* Scratch Tour Dept(CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
LW: 60* Scratch Tour Department (CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
XW: 64* Cally XForged Vintage w/ DG X100 8 iron tiger stepped
Putter: Nike Method Prototype 006 at 34"

Have a ton of back-ups in all categories, but there are always 14 clubs in the bag that differ depending on the course and set-up. Bomb and gouge. Yes, I'm a club gigolo.

At the end of the day...people don't move weights.  So weights really don't matter.  At least until golfers start taking advantage of them.

At the end of the day all a golfer should be worried about is performance.  They have shown to increase distance every year by small amounts and same with accuracy.

I am brand agnostic, but there are not many golf manufacturers that can say that over the past 10 years.  PING is about the only other one.

So, 2 weights...5 weights.  They are just there for looks for more than 95% of the population.  The other 5% can enjoy the tinkering and possible advantages it allows.

I will say this and it can almost be written as fact at this point.  This driver...will be at or near the top yet again of our testing.

So far I see this driver, G30 and Cobra being in the TOP 5.

Every one I've seen review the last Cobra vs this one just about has came away liking the Cobra more and having better numbers with it. Very underrated. Cobra flies under the radar for the performance because so many are turned off by the in your face colors. But everything I've seen they're creating drivers that flat perform year after year lately. Don't get me wrong I'll try this and probably own one for a period of time at least. I'm just saying it doesn't appear to have changed much at all.

I just can't see how much better a golf club can get from one to another in such a short time span. 2 years, yeah I could see how working tirelessly and trying different things everyday etc... could possibly make a new club better but c'mon! Callaway's new driver looks great, but is it REALLY that much better than last years? How does Tmag top last years SLDR (That was really good for many) A few yards more is definitely not enough in my book to justify another $450 dollars
