Odyssey Flip Face #1 Putter

Could not get the price I wanted on Craigslist for a 3 and 4 Callaway Diablo Octane fairway woods so I traded them in on this toy.

 

Thought it might be fun to putt with around the house.

 

Ended up paying 14.00 dollars new with tags, so shoot, why not.

 

The Lamkin 3 GEN grip my be the best thing about this deal, I really like the feel of it.

 

The head cover is really top notch also, inside the zippered pouch is the combo wrench and divot tool not to mention

the magnetic closure is something I would like to see more of (scotty).

 

Have been playing a Newport 2 so the insert is going to have a learning curve.

 

Think I'll take it out for a round or two.

I almost bagged a Flip Face once, but the assembly on the face put me off. It was probably mental, but I felt like the feel was muted by the head being a collection of parts instead of a solid piece. Love the look though.

I'd like to know who the gobshite was that okayed putting that frankenputter into production! Uber expensive when they came out with them and NOBODY bought em...

 

My favorite part of that putter was the grip!

Has not been to the course yet Fozcycle, just around the house so far.

 

I like how expensive it was when it first came out, so I gave it a shot!

I gamed it for about 9 months and I regret getting rid of it!  I believe that the golf world did not give them their just do on this.  I think Odyssey set the bar/price high on this for most golfers.  I think the #2 model was the best looking and the assembly was able to frame the ball well.  The choice to switch faces was a great theory and worked well.  

 

If you can pick one up for cheap I would get one!  I don't think you will go wrong with it and you may even make it your gamer!
