ILMgolfnut Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 (edited) After another day of battling my Stealth 3-wood, I'm strongly considering going with a PXG, since I hit my PXG 0341 7-wood much more consistently (and frequently farther) than my 3w. I used the fitting info for my Stealth woods when I ordered the 7w from PXG; TaylorMade had run out of 7-woods that late in the year and the new models weren't out yet. So I really wouldn't need another fitting because the fitting for the 7w clearly worked. Oh yes, not to forget new irons- I would like to try a set of 70 irons and maybe the new Wilson Staff blades. I've been away from golf for 3 years, and just now picking it up again. GHIN is quite high at 16 rn, so I need to make some improvement there before I start bleeding golf cash again. To start with I'm soft-stepping my Srix 765's because my swing speed is down slightly (112 mph). I'm going to try soft-stepping my shafts 1/2" and see if I can't match my slower swing speed. This is what I'm THINKING about. Now, affording all the new and shiny is a whole other territory.
