Flag Hi App?

I saw a Tweet by Hank Haney this morning claiming that for every 10* change in temp there's a 2.5 yard change in distance on shots... Then the Flag Hi team started posting on that about their app. It takes into consideration the elevation, temperature and humidity to give more accurate distances for your round. Has anyone used this app??? Heard about anyone using it???

This is pretty cool - where I'm at, our golf weather ranges from over 100 in the summer to 35 in the winter. It definitely makes a difference in distances. Humidity also makes a difference, seeming to reduce distance some.

 

We have always noticed a roughly one club loss in distance over the winter, but this app could help dial it in all year.

 

For free, I'm definitely going to plug in some data and play with this!

I just entered all of my club yardages and then messed with JUST the temp and there was a change of SIX or MORE yards between 74* and 50*!!!! It ranges from club to club.

The 3 yd average for every 10° is what I go by as well.

All the other info from app may not be USGA legal for competition play though. I don't remember for sure.

All one has to do pre-round of a tournament is to write down the adjustments needed. Not illegal to use the INFORMATION... Just illegal to use the app.

 

Heck. I play by myself, use a non-conforming ERC/Triton driver, and now the app! I'm SO illegal it's CRAZY!!! Take THAT USGA!!!!!

Aha, got it! Had to search on the developer's name, not the software title...

(Suggested to them they fix that in Google Play)
