Sponsors on a golf ball

Will we ever see players playing golf balls with a sponsors logo on them? I bring this up as we all watched the masters and that little white ball gets a lot of close ups over the course of 4 days.

We already do, the OEMs logo on the ball. I would think they would expect a kickback from someone else jumping onto their wagon. Perhaps there's even something about that in their contracts with the players?

I've never thought of it this way, but that would be pretty interesting actually.

That is a great way to think about it. And why wouldn't you try to sell any available space for a logo.

 

Yeah I get some can be a distraction but I do not really think that's an issue.

I thought it was interesting in the post round interview with Kuchar about the ace when he specifically mentioned hoping that they got a good close up of the B on the bridgestone ball as it rolled in the cup.

I can't see them putting logo's on balls, wouldn't it distract the players (looking down on a ball and seeing a subway sandwich).

I bring this up as I play a logo ball every round. No distractions at all. I just see it was another way for companies to make money.

 

Imagine if Bridgestone had a sketchers logo on it and they sold limited number of Matt Kucher balls. Or insert any pro here

There's definitely potential here.

 

One of my best friends is a real estate agent and when we go to the golf course (or other outings) he gives out his business card attached to a personalized sleeve of prov1's with his name on them. I don't know if it helps him get any business, but it helps me when I steal them from the trunk of his car. 

 

Of course, when I hit them, the fish and squirrels see most of the advertising...
