Coloring over the 2ball alignment

Anyone ever thought about or actually done this? Toying with it now using blacked out post its. For years I putted with a Newport beach and prefer no site alignment lines. Wasn't sure about the 2balls though. I have a 2ball fang and love the stability of the putter. Initial thoughts are good about covering up the 2balls. Just hesitant to do it permanently.

I've never blacked them out, but I did have the circles removed on one and replaced them with copper disc's with a sight line milled in.

I'm fairly certain that black post it notes to cover the circles is technically non-conforming, but for a practice round it would be an easy experiment to see if it works.  If it does I'm sure you could come up with some sort of paint solution that would make it both permanent and conforming.

Thanks. I happened to see a black mead notebook laying out and the color was perfect to cut out some discs. Found that I didn't like them blacked out. I put a 1/8 inch piece of blue painter's tape on the leading edge and that made the most difference. I can now line up the leading edge on my 2ball fang...big difference for me and one of the things I didn't like moving from a no site alignment Newport beach to the 2ball. Now I just have to figure out what kind of paint to use to make it permanent.
