Shankster
Can't believe there's no comments on Mickelson's play on 13. My opinion. .... Just using “the rules to his advantageâ€. I'm sure he wasn't the only one that wanted to do that at some point.

The best players through 36 holes got screwed. I totally agree with this statement. The course was fine for two days. The breaks came from the weather. But today - that ones on the USGA - the difference between the early groups and late groups was stunning. Interestingly the scoring average today was lower than Thursday. It was also nothing like ‘04. They have to be very careful with the set up tomorrow. Hopefully the golf will be the story tomorrow. Not some stupid play by a Hall of Famer - wait a minute I'm hearing even more stuff - how could the USGA say Phil didn't attempt to deflect the ball? Or the course set up. bens197
If these guys make the cut and aren't close to the top 50, it's been clear for years that they couldn't care less. They don't need the money and it's an inconvenience when they aren't taking home a trophy. $27k for finishing 71st when you have their money is like winning a hardcover at a charity scramble. djahubes
Love Phil no matter what, but that was a weak move. He should've finished the round, got on tv and said that he did it intentionally bc the setup was a joke and he wasn't going to walk down and hit it again. Then should've DQ'd himself. The USGA is out of touch with reality and they continually make themselves look ridiculous. At least they started watering the greens before play was finished.
