How long have you been playing golf? - 2 years.

What’s your handicap or normal score? - I score 90-95 pretty consistently, hoping to break 85 this season.

What do you love about golf? - It's a great way to relax and enjoy time in nature while still pursuing athletics (I played soccer in college).

What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? - I have loved the research and posts from MyGolfSpy and was interested in getting involved.

Where are you from? What is your home course? - I'm from Louisville KY and play Hidden Creek fairly regularly.

What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? - The best part is the weather during the summer: morning tee times are amazing. The worst would have to be the cold winters where courses are near unplayable.

What do you do for a living? - I am a personal finance consultant.

How’d you pick your user name? - This is a username I've been using since I was a kid.

Senior in college, taken up golf as my sport after retiring from collegiate soccer.

Started when I was only about 8 years old, but stopped after HS because I didn't have anyone to play with anymore after we all left for college. Came back into it during COVID. I'm normally shooting mid-high 90s.

I love that golf can be so many different things all at once. A nice day in nature, an excuse to enjoy a cigar, a super-competitive round against your buddies, a personal challenge.

Joined MyGolfSpy after following them on Twitter and reading product reviews. Hoping to be a tester for some of their products.

Just moved to NC a couple weeks ago, so no home course yet. I'm only guessing at the moment, but I'd say the best thing about this region is courses are open year-round. The worst? TBD...

Currently been playing for about 16 years and about a 9 handicap.  I love golf for the friendship I have made on the course and the exercise as I usually walk 18 holes about 3 or 4 times a week.  I am originally from Indiana but joined the military in 1998 and have been traveling all over since.  I found out about myspy on google when looking for golf equipment and seemed like a great place to connect with other golfers and hopefully get selected to be a tester at some point.  My home course in Lindsey Golf Course at Fort Knox, Ky as I have been a member for about 5 years.  The best part about golf in this region is there are great courses in the surrounding areas as Louisville is only about 45 minutes away.  The worst part is that it rains a lot in the spring.    I chose my name as it is my favorite sport and my old Jersey number in all sports was 34.

Current clubs of choice are:

Driver/FW Woods- Callaway Paradym

Irons- PXG 317ST Gen 5 dark edition

Wedges- 50/54/58 Callaway Jaws Edition

Putter- Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2

Ball of Choice: Callaway Chrome Soft

Hey Fellow Spies,

At the end of April, two buddies and I will be taking a road trip to Nashville, TN from CT.  We're trying to make the most of our trip by hitting at least 2-3 courses over the course of a week. Just looking for feedback about must play public courses (Unless there is anyone that wants to meetup to play) that may be along the way or in and around the Nashville area. All feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

KJ

Sorry missed scores. Usga says I'm a 14 because of a series of rounds I played at a fairly straightforward links course. I then played 36 holes in the following 12 months so don't know how accurate that is anymore.

Taking lessons at Gollfec and working on updating my ancient clubs Titleist ap1 and TM 5 series driver. To buy some yardage and keep up with my 16 year old son. I'm 60, so looking at old man irons. Mizuno hot metal pros with graphite or (gasp) senior shafts. Coming up on 60, so I guess it's time to admit my age.

I also have a Plop putter I bought at the Hollywood race track driving range in 1993. It's a solid center shaft power with ZERO MOI. When it works, it works well, but given my playing frequency...I at least need to hit the practice putting mat more.

Hey MyGolfSpy! I'm CSplain. I'm from North Carolina. I've been playing since I was about 7 or 8. I'm 30 now and play casually along with a few tournaments per year. I go between +1 - 2.5 as a handicap. I hit the ball a long way and wedge game is nasty but I SUCK at putting. I mean terrible. Glad to be here.
