He is his own man forsure. Came early at 32wks so spending a few weeks in the NICU but the nurses love him! They say he just kind of does his thing until we bother him haha.

I am back at work for now until he can come home but i visit him every morning on my way to work and every evening on my way home for a few hours. Mom & I always get to change him, feed him what he will take that way, & of course bundle him up when he is ready. Got to say its ALOT mentally but boyyyy i wouldn't trade it for anything!! Ive got to say i never knew being a parent would be this exciting! Looking forward to a lifetime of adventures with this dude… and his mom of course haha

I really can't say "and so it begins" because it began a long time ago when that little man first made himself known to you and MGSpouse, so the odyssey continues to reveal itself in amazing ways.  Hope he has established the precedence for always being early because it is one of our best traits as men, especially for tee time.

We are an outside family anything and everything to do with it we do! My Mara loves her Nature school and golf! She is four and my boy Philip is following closely in her footsteps!

Love that she is picking up golf - trying to get my daughter involved as well (she just turned 5)!

Even crazier if it’s Mara Ruth! I’m so pumped she loves golf we are all on the couch watching WMPO and the kids are zoned in! Love when girls at into golf there is so much froth and potential in the women’s leagues

Children are truly a blessing. They bring smiles when we least expect them, and typically when we most need them.  They try our patience, which can be an opportunity to become better people.  Their innocence can remind us that adults often should take a step back and take another look.  If we could all only retain some of that innocence, golf would probably be a much less stressful game

Ivan is in his screaming phase... It's lovely. Thankfully he can be like a gold fish and normally is pretty easily distracted. However he loves to hear the sound of his own voice screaming at the top of his lungs.

He also had a terrible sleep last night so ended sleeping on till 11 which has meant today if the war of keeping him awake till bed time.

Now it's nearly 7 so anytime now we can crash and we should be okay... For an hour or two.

Skip nap days are always a wild adventure.

This seems to be the routine when I'm off work and i have no complaints. Wake up normal time as I'm an earlier riser to watch some racing and hang with these 2.

Don’t have any pics of my son when I started him because it was back in  1974, and he’s now 53 and I still love playing golf with him while I still can , those pictures are outstanding ! Enjoy these times as they are fleeting .

Kids can say the funniest things. What he has said to his elementary school teachers can be hilarious.  Parent teacher meetings are always amusing.    

Most teachers fortunately have a sense of humour.

We went outside yesterday and my youngest got ahold of a club and would not put it down for anything. She held it while kicking a ball and even held it on the kiddie swing. She didn’t put it down until we went inside and she happily put it in the bag. Hopefully it’s a sign of a future golfer!

My daughter likes golf but watching it depends on the day.  Sometimes she'll say "Dad I want to watch golf with you. " others it's "No I want to watch a kid movie". Either way I'm happy at this point.  She likes to putt on my home putting mat and at the golf club she enjoys going to the putting green. I'm debating taking her for a few holes this year. My son is only 4 months but locks on to the TV with either golf or hockey on so I'll assume he'll play.  Fingers crossed.

Geezch… Ivan could just be getting in a quick day or so of practice for 70+ years from now.. As those are the top activities and accomplishments of my Ancient Ager group. Oh, you got this dad, you two are doing great.

Can't get any cuter than that. The time with the newborn is so precious, you want to keep every single moment in your memory forever. It feels like my daughter was born yesterday and today she is mostly four and i am talking to childtime customer service and discussing our daycare options. Time just flies.

I'm sure this was shared here before... but this advice from Padraig Harrington is exceptional. I took it to heart last year while playing with my daughter and we had a hell of a day together, and she played all 9 holes on the local cheap par 3.

We actually did a member test with it last year... Results were very mixed and very stroller dependent.

I doubt i would use it all the time but for the rare occasion. Wondering if courses had a tendency to get upset if you bring your child on the course. A playing partner had an issue with a superintendent about it one day where it turned into an issue. We had permission but the super tried to swindle us for extra $$ and we had to contact the course owner over it. We knew the owner and super die to playing there on a regular basis and had a good reputation there.

It’s so awesome seeing all these kids with the clubs Kids learn fast! They won’t have to think about their swing like how we adult do! Start em young I’m so jealous

It sounds like you're having an amazing time with Ivan and your dogs.
I'm expecting a boy myself, so it's cool to hear about your experiences. It's gonna be my first child, and I'm excited and terrified. Browsing different sites to gather as much as possible info on parenting. While browsing, I came across a baby hip seat carrier on conqueringmotherhood.com, which is something that interested me. I wonder if any of you experienced parents who bought something like this for their babies? Any feedback to share? TBH, I didn't see people with those things, but I know that more new stuff appears almost daily.
