Training aids gathering dust

Interested to hear how many training aids do you have lying around your garage or shop gathering dusk. I’m interested in things that you couldn’t live without, saw advertised in a magazine or on tv or received as a gift because people know you eat sleep and drink golf that you haven’t used in over a year. And out of interest what’s the worst. At lat count I have 12. The worst being something called Toilet Golf

 I don’t generally keep stuff that I don’t use from a trining aid perspective but I also don’t buy a lot because they are  really expensive.  
 

my list would be:

• Eyeline balls of steel - have had the for probably 10 years and maybe used 5 times. 
• putting stroke trining mat - seem to be really popular but I just don’t see the benefit. 
• Full swing grip training - never install and is with my unused grips.

Blast motion putting sensor. I think it is very helpful but it doesn't fit onto my DF 2.1 so it doesn't get used anymore. I think I also have a smart ball somewhere which was seeming detrimental to my swing.

I'll second the eyeline balls of steel. Worst purchase I've made. Only time I bring them out now is when I want to create a gate for my putter head indoors. Aside from that, I either use it or get rid of it.

Had t thought of that,  they probably would make a good ball or putter gate.

Guys c'mon - how much fun is to say, "I have balls of steel!" Huh? And yep I have them also, and yep I also rarely use them since I got them

But out of the very many swing training aids I've spent (ok: wasted) money on over the years, possibly the stupidest was this driver-looking thing with a plastic head and a cup in the middle of where the face would be to hold a lightweight plastic ball - the goal being that the ball should pop out at the proper release point...

..and needless to say I immediately lost the two plastic balls so learned *nothing* from that gadget!

For Christmas I got a putting mat ball returner. I haven't set it up yet mainly because I have my puttout. However I should really set it up if not just to say I have used it. Kinda need to find a better space for it though.

Oh... so for other, possibly "known", training aids that are gathering dust in my garage include...

.. Tour Striker irons; a DST iron and wedge; a John Daly endorsed driver from Sklz with a hinge in the shaft; the Swing Click armband; and a few others I just can't think of right now.

But on the flip side...

The swing training aids for me that are the most enduring (in addition to a putting mat; hitting mat + net; good old alignment sticks) include...

.. Orange Whips (regular, mid, compact, Light Speed); and a "Swing Caddy" with an weighted head and adjustable tension that clicks at the release point so you can hear if you're releasing early or late.

The most important training aid I have is my alignment sticks, I use them everyday, and my putting mirror, which I use when I have dedicated putting practice days and I always take it to tournaments. 
as a side note, and I believe I mentioned this on this site before, I love watching “live from” on the holf channel as I see the latest greatest “tools” that the best in the world are using both on the range and in the putting green. For those of you that are fortunate enough to go live to a pro event, spend time on the range and putting green Nd watch what the golfers that are making a living out of the game are doing.

... The good news is you can store all those unused training aids on your clothes rack ... that was originally a treadmill!

I got a cheap divot board that didn't help me and started tearing pretty quickly.  I've also got a phigolf simulator kit that I was hoping to mess around with but it turns out my phone won't cast to my TV so it's really tempered my enthusiasm and this hasn't really been used much.

It's odd sometimes...the things I'm both willing and unwilling to spend money on.

-300 yard impact. Never use it

-planemate. Just for pitching practice

-smart ball, I think I actually lost it. Was great for pitching. I need to look for it.

I started to gather all of my training aids into one area of the garage. Had to stop because of two issues. One, it was getting dark and two I need to move the golf cart into the driveway to mage room from the stuff…., Except for the Toilet Golf which on the shelf sitting on the toilet paper.
