Need to find a team to root for.  Welcome to Wrexham was a great show about one small slice of English soccer, but Premier League is definitely where it's at.

If only AFC Richmond were a real club.

Man I'd be all for some AFC Richmond. Along those lines, Brentford is an easy team to pull for IMO

Now here is a topic I know less than zero about. Which is horrible living in Europe. 

Did watch the end of the World Cup, was fun however I have a really hard time watching it as I find it slow and boring... But then again I love to watch Golf.

I find Jurgen Klopp entertaining and refreshingly open, so I like Liverpool. However, the only team I've seen in person is Crystal Palace. They played a preseason friendly here in Cincinnati some years ago that we went to. They absolutely nailed the PR/community engagement thing out of the park, which was great in a city where our American franchises lead the world in tone deafness. Therefore, I'm a CP guy!

Dude, it's way more fun and rewarding in the lower levels! To answer this question when I started watching the Premier League in earnest in 2010 I was drawn to Blackpool FC due to those Orange kits, the show Viva Blackpool, which was later remade stateside as Viva Laughlin, and knowing it was this cool seaside getaway, kind of the English equivalent of Atlantic City. They've been through hell since the relegation at the end of that season and are now fighting for their lives in the Championship.

Other teams I follow are AC Milan in Italy, and I always pull for Shakhtar Donetsk in European competition due to a long running Football Manager save when I was in college.

Stateside I'm card carrying with American Outlaws and part of the Salt City Supporters, a group supporting our local team, the former Syracuse Pulse in NISA. This week it was announced the team would be partnering with our rivals in Rochester, Flower City Union and be rebranded Salt City Union. It seems like a situation where FCU will be the main team and SCU will be an alias they go by when they embark on a ridiculous decision to split their home schedule between Rochester and Syracuse for the whole season with hopes of growing fan interest in both teams so that both teams can exist again as solo entities and our ownership can maybe find new partners since the old regime basically destroyed any hope of that happening by being total fly by nights.

I've been a Manchester United supporter since elementary school thanks to one of my cup soccer coaches who was from England.  I also recently became a Man U shareholder. I proudly own 1/53,000,000 of Man U

Never too late to start!  What helped me was focusing on a team and following them.  Baby steps at first and then years will pass as you're screaming at the TV.

Both of my boys played futbol, despite my trying to keep them involved in baseball (talk about SLOW, Dad...)  Anyway, both of them played very high level club and my youngest played at the D1 level in college.  Once they were really interested, I knew I had to have a club to support.  I didn't really want to become a Man U fan, because it's (to me) like being a NY Yankees fan if you're from Ohio.  Too easy.  So, long story getting longer, I met a gent in an airport bar on one of my many work travels.  We began to chat, he was/is from England, and so I asked him which club HE supported.  "Everton" was the reply.  After I asked what an Everton was, he told me that they are an original member of the Premier League and based in Liverpool.  And so, ever since that day I have been a Toffee!  It was great fun when Landon Donovan and Tim Howard roamed the pitch at Goodison Park.  Unfortunately pretty dark days currently, they might be headed for relegation.

That's a great background.  Opposite of your boys my love of the diamond slowed my interest in kicky round ball thing, but I have been a United fan since the late 90s.  We had the old FIFA 99 PC game when I was a kid.  The name sounded cool but most importantly they were red; so I stuck with it.  I think you'll keep your spot in the Premier League now with the new coach and begin a nice rebuild over the summer.

Looking like an exciting run to the end of the year. Arsenal and Man City are making a run for the title.  City with a game in hand and with a chance to play Arsenal very soon.  Can City make it through to the end still being deeply involved in 3 competitions?  Or does Arsenal return to glory?

Love this thread! The Premier League always gets me buzzing. My heart belongs to Chelsea. I vividly remember the first time I watched them play – it was a rainy Sunday afternoon, and I was huddled with my friends in front of the TV. The energy, the passion, it was infectious. Since then, I've been a die-hard fan.
