Popular Post BIG STU
Well up this AM coffee as usual. More than likely no golf this weekend. We already have rain coming in. Fact yesterday afternoon it started. I had not scheduled any golf for today anyhow. Had planned on mulching the flower beds. Which I can do between showers if I want. Saturday I was scheduled as a fill in on a Shootout team again. But with the incoming weather I do not think that is happening now. Decided to lay off until Tuesday on the golf. I know for certain I will need to cut grass again after the rain so Monday is cut grass day. Depending on the weather I guess we will stay in Saturday and chill out EasyPutter, MattWillGolf, sirchunksalot and 8 others 11 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- - 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R---- Irons 5 thru PW 1980 Macgregor VIP Hogan Apex steel shafts--- SW -- Cleveland 588 56* S-400 Sensicore --- LW Vokey 58* SM5 L grind--- Putter 1997 Scotty Cameron Santa Fe Fluted Bulls Eye shaft--- Bag TM Flex Lite Stand---- Yeah I know only 11 clubs G

Popular Post rkj427
Good morning Spies on the last work day before the long Memorial Day weekend here in Michigan. Working from home today, so no long commute meant I was able to get a little more sleep. Coffee already down, and a few minutes to spare while I am waiting for some data to download. Have tee times for Sunday and Monday, so I am working towards my goal of getting enough rounds in to get the MGS tag sooner than later. Have a great weekend, no matter your plans, but also take time to realize what Memorial Day is all about. Oh yeah I told my wife I was going no matter if I had to fight off every dope dealer and street thug with a 38 revolver which BTW I am pretty accurate with still. LOL the other week I was walking the Frenchie and when we do we pack. That has happened ever since 2 years ago a Pit bull which was not supposed to be in here to begin with attacked my wife and Chiuawawa. The dog ended up dying. We also have coyotes in the area which I had not seen one myself. I went to take him out about 5:30 or so. Just grabbed the wife's Lady Smith 5 shot 38. Had a copperhead poke out from the corner of the porch and rared back at my dog. I cleared leather and took his head off at about 10 yards one shot woke the whole neighborhood up. What is funny I had not shot that gun in 10 years. Assuring to know my reflexes and accuracy are there. J7Hawkins
Good morning Spies! Life has been crazy this week but now it is Friday and there's a 3 day weekend ahead so everything is going to be alright! I managed to get out on the driving range for about 2 hours yesterday, getting back into my normal groove. Golf is a funny game though - it wasn't two months ago that I was hitting uncontrolled slice/fades and now my stock shot is very straight with my irons (sans the 5 iron lol) and my miss is a 15 yard draw (sans the 40 yard 5 iron hook lol). I still need to figure out the long stuff though, my 5 iron through driver lack striking consistency and somehow my driver is still hitting a fade... Back to the grind today though, I'm going to hit the range this morning before playing a round with friends this afternoon. Have a great long weekend everyone! Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good morning MGS'ers! Short work day for me today and then will be getting ready to head to my in-laws lake house for the Memorial Day weekend. Hoping to take our golf clubs with and maybe play a little 9 hole muni track about 20 minutes from there. It's a shorter course with post stamp greens so can actually be much more challenging than it seems. Very family friendly and I like playing there at least once a year, and I've never taken my oldest there so I think that would be really fun! Played three holes last night at sunset as well as I live on the golf course here, and it was so nice. There was one other individual out there practicing as well, but just really peaceful and enjoyable. I plan to make that part of my regular routine on nights when the boys cooperate and get to sleep at a decent time . I'm not a good bunker player, so this should be some good practice. Enjoy your time off Jason!! Have fun next week and let us know how it goes. I played for years on a course that had no bunkers, but there is lots of sand on my course now! Following Monte's advice... use your normal swing and finish with the club high over your head. A club head that doesn't get that high doesn't get sand out of the bunker, and no sand out of the bunker means no ball out... unless you only hit ball. Coffee always helps to make things right and it is hot in the mug My FB post about my eagle on Tuesday preceded me to the PGA HOPE session 4 of 6 last night at Niagara Frontier GC and I was encouraged to share the experience with the group, humbling, exciting and energizing because it was practicing a swing lesson by PGA Pro Frank Garcia two weeks earlier at session 2 of 6 that led to the amazing 5-iron hit onto the green that disappeared from view. Today's tee time is 5:30pm so probably limited to 9 holes at twilight which sounds perfect to cap off the work week. Hope golf is a part of your day too Thank you for service and keeping us safe and free! cksurfdude, sirchunksalot and Merlin1313 3 Quote B
Popular Post BKervin
Good morning Spies, At the hospital, waiting hubby to return from his "jump start" back into rhythm. Little jealous of those out there with Coffee. I haven't had any. Hubby couldn't and I didn't feel right eating or drinking in front of him. No golf today. We'll need to see how he's doing and if he's up to it we'll go out this weekend. Have family that's in or been in the service. It's a tough weekend for all of our service men/women. They all know someone they lost and the memories of the good and bad experiences they shared. Keep them all in your thoughts and prayers - without them we wouldn't have the freedom to do what we do everyday. God bless and keep them safe! Have a great weekend UPDATE - back in rhythm just waiting for his release and the 3 1/2 hour drive home. Thank you all for your thoughts and we'll wishes!
