I hate Home Depot.  I hate Lowes.   You would think that with 2 Home Depots and 2 Lowes in town they would have some... nope!  I can order and it would be here on June 1.

The internet is your friend; go to their websites and find the product you want. The site will tell you if and how much is in stock at each store.  You can even buy in advance and it will be waiting when you get there.   😁

Good morning MGSpies from a warm, though losing some of the heat for the next 36 hours until it builds back into the weekend, WNY on this Wednesday, the day after hitting my first ever Eagle on the Par-4 3rd at Elma Meadows GC with a 189 driver off the Senior tee and 143 5-iron onto the green where the ball disappeared from view heading for the flagstick - such an amazing thing to watch and from my history of play I actually thought it could have rolled off the back of the green but the others in the foursome said it dropped into the cup.

Good morning Spies

Board meeting is over.  Coffee has been added. Library, haircut and golf league to come for the balance of the day.  Hoping my round yesterday helps my drives tonight.  Just can't make the adjustments consistently from my lesson last week.

Tomorrow we are making the trip to Cleveland Clinic for Hubby's ticker!  Hopefully they get it back in rhythm.

Happy Hump Day

This reminded me of something I’ve hear Viktor Hovland say that I have used to help my golf midset. “Most people overestimate how much you can improve in one day, but underestimate how much you can improve over time.” Wise words from the 25-year old (who is a member at my club).

Yes very wise indeed. I am also reminded that my grannie used to say "Rome was not built in a day"

Yep!!  Pros work on small changes and they take months, practicing every day, to make it work reliably.

And most people do not have the common sense to realize that. I hear it all the time they take lessons from Joe The Pro and expect an instant elixir without effort. Down here some will take a series of lessons do not practice on their own and expect miracles. When they do not improve they want to blame the instructor. I talked to one of my buds who is an instructor and told him I could not take that. He told me it was part of the game and he was making good money doing it. As he put it you can lead a horse to water but you can not make him drink. He also stresses up front that one needs to practice so his concience is clear

Yes I’m well aware of that ablation procedure.  A buddy of mine had it done.  It did help him.

I had never heard of the “ablation” procedure until he had it.  Since then I know of at least 3guys who have had it.

Fun par 3! That pond shouldn't come into play but I've been with plenty of guys that end up there. I never even look at the flag and just try to get it on and 2 putt and get outta there.

Good luck on the next hole! That's a doozy...

I had a bad swing day especially on the front. 57 - 47. But it is never a bad day playing with a  friend of 47 years

Been there 7 years ago fir ablation. It's been in rhythm since then. Not sure what has happened that It's out.  Cleveland Clinic is the best place for this.  He has lots of records there.  Down side is it's 3 1/2 hour drive one way.  Gonna be a long day tomorrow.

Thank you

Might have to find some time to play there. I'll be in Bosnia for 3 months from November through January. Not exactly prime golf season. Any recommendations? Obviously Bosnia is not too close to Switzerland but a lot closer than San Diego. Haha

Not familiar with Bosnia unfortunately. Really couldn't say.

We golf year round here for the most part. However not the case for all of Switzerland.

Portugal is a hot spot for good golf tho!

Great to hear you play year round though I've heard the European golf courses have a much stricter stance on who could play. Is this true?

Not necessarily. You just need to have an official handicap in most countries. Nothing crazy.
