Good morning Spies on this first day of July. Weather here this weekend is supposed to be hot and humid with storms rolling through at various times right through Monday.

My plans are to get in the second 9 for the Virtual Tour round this week, then play 18 on both Sunday and Tuesday, as I do have to work on Monday July 3.

Hope that whatever your plansd are, that you are able to make the day the best it can be and have fun and enjoyment doing so.

GM & Happy Saturday!!  No golf today going with SWMBO to a Arts & Crafts Show tied into the weekly Farmers Market.  Going early to beat the heat.  
SWMBO loves to paint and is pretty artsy so good for her as she’s had a few health issues recently.

By the way had 2 birdies yesterday in case you didn’t hear.  Seriously felt good to have a putter work.

Good morning everyone, can't believe the year is half over already. Played 9 at a course my friend started managing about 10 weeks ago, the last time I played there I swore I never would go back because the place was total crap. Well it's not quite back to where it was the first time I played there but it was a big improvement. Shot 42 with 2 double bogeys, I started out with 3 pars and birdied th last hole. No golf this weekend, Monday through Friday is enough for me. Have fun everyone and be safe over this holiday.

Top of the pot spies .  Saturday group play today - we have 3 foursomes.  Today's game is  6/6/6, 4-man scramble with each player being assigned a number 1 thru 4.  Roll a dice at each tee and you play the drive for the number rolled; unless it's a 5 or 6, then you choose the drive.  Play the ball of choice the rest of the way into the hole. A new game for me anyway.

Summer temps are here in full force.  Looks like we're a few degrees cooler than Phoenix which shows 113F .

For the past couple of months we've been opening up the house and taking advantage of nice cool 65-70F morning's.  Looks like that isn't happening for awhile.  0715 tee time, so I've got to get ready.  Have a great day all.

I had a new massage therapist yesterday and I asked for deep tissue massage; after saying "Don't tickle me"... I couldn't yell... but I wanted to.  I...am...sore.

We are in South Padre Island in a VRBO a block from the beach. Celebrating our 40th anniversary and having a family reunion. Kids and grandkids are on the agenda for the next eight days. So, no golf till at least the 9th. However, this will be very special!

Temps are currently in the upper 80s, nothing but blue skies, and just enough breeze to make it quite comfortable.

Last day down in NJ today so we hit the beach early and it looks like we might get a little rainstorm through lunch.  Then out to do some shopping and let the kids ride some rides on the boardwalk.

This is the last day of a very fast fly fishing trip for me and a friend to the Au Sable river in Michigan.  The fishing has been great; the catching not so much.  
 

I hope to get out for some golf this weekend somehow, but it looks iffy.  My game has sorta deserted me.  When the spring came, my short game and putting were awesome and I struggled with driver.  Now, my driver is the best of my game, and I cannot hit GIR or chip or putt worth a darn.  It’s bad.  I was hitting irons so poorly on Wednesday afternoon that I just played 5-iron or lower clubs on the back nine for practice, which helped my irons immensely but the short game is still crap.  Gotta work on that. It’s frustrating.  Dealing with some lower back pain too, which definitely does not help.   Any suggestions on how to get out of the funk?  Maybe this fishing pause will actually help.  
 

I hope you US Spies are sliding into a wonderful Independence Day weekend, and I wish the best to all of our international Spies as well!

Gee thanks @IndyBonzo, I had to go grab a kleenex to wipe the drool off my chin .  The Au Sable is cherished waters and it looks to be in awesome post spring runoff condition. That was my biggest give up relocating from our place on the Ruby River in MT to AZ.  Much as I love golf, fly fishing is still my #1. But, not many wives would even entertain living in rural MT and we really loved our nearly 7 years there... the lengthy drives for many services not so much.  Lots of southwest waters on my list.

No test this weekend, which I think is okay. There is a ton going on with testing this year and it is often hard to keep up!

Work up a little late, but got work done and now get a chance to catch up on all things MGS over the last 12 hours or so. Lots of rounds in which is nice and hoping that the coffee hits strong this morning as well it is desperately needed!

Morning Spies! We officially made it down to the beach after about a 9 hour ride yesterday. The baby did amazing and slept pretty much the last 3 hours. Unfortunately the pack and play is a new adjustment for her so we are back to #teamnosleep. 

First round of golf scheduled for tomorrow at Baywood greens. It will be a nice last hurrah for my Paradym before we start the Mizuno Long Game testing!

Good morning all and happy Sunday. Great day yesterday as I got my last round of the cobra woods and wedges challenge in and then just enjoyed the rest of the day with my family and in-laws at the lake. Went for a cruise on the pontoon and then strapped on some life jackets and jumped in the water with the boys. Both of them did awesome! Followed it up with a cookout at another family friend’s cabin on the same lake and watched fireworks from there (yearly tradition). The lake committee puts on an INCREDIBLE fireworks show. Just finished writing up and posting my woods review in the cobra thread and still relaxing in bed as my kids are both still sleeping. 11pm bedtime last night has everyone tuckered out! Hope everyone has a great rest of the holiday weekend.

Good morning everyone. Finishing up some toast and coffee before preparing for my loop later today. I’ve really enjoyed working as a caddy this summer. Not quite as much fun as playing but being on the course makes it feel less like work than a normal job. Hope everyone has a great day!

Thank you so much and thank you to the rest of the MGS family that has wished me luck on the big day! Yesterday was an amazing day and I am blessed to have an amazing wife. 

The weather was overcast, but the rain held off for almost the entire day. A little sprinkle during the ceremony, but hey, everyone says that's good luck! After the ceremony, we were able to spend the evening with all of our friends and family. A lot of drinks were had, a lot of laughs shared, and many hugs and love throughout the night. I wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world. 

We don't have any official pictures yet, but I can share some of the ones we got on phones last night. I'll give you the sneak peek of our wedding pictures when we get them. Thank you for all of the wishes! Cheers to all!

Good morning MGSpies from a humid summer day already well before mid-day in WNY   Chai Black in the mug this morning as my often Sunday AM switch from the daily grind (see what I did there?) and catching up on Forum posts  the PGA HOPE Down Range at Stafford CC was again lightly attended but with an awesome group, Head Pro Eric Haile extended hospitality and service beyond expectations and we only had 3 playing groups but had most of the course to ourselves.  No golf on the plan for today besides Forum and hope everyone has golf as a part of your day

Ironically, perhaps, I've been getting up before our old poochie - he used to let us know anywhere between like 4:15 - 4:30 that he thought it was his breakfast time .. even though he knows it's really not until 5:00 .. and that applies to weekdays during the school year when my wife gets up .. not summer hours!

Anyway, got a bit of a nap in and now hoping the rain moves out so my honey and I can play 9 this afternoon

Good morning Spies on a much later start to the day than normal for me. Had an unexpected family situation arise late yesterday, and it meant I didn't hit the bed until the very early hours of this morning. All worked out and is good, so at least that is the best thing out of a potential bad situation.

It did rain overnight and is in the forecast for scattered storms throughout the day. Hoping that it will at least be somewhat dry for my 2:00PM tee time.

Final round of the Rocket Mortgage is underway, they pushed up tee times due to weather, so looking forward to seeing if Rickie can keep his great play up and finish on top.

Course is very soft, so scores should be very low as long as they keep it in the shortgrass off the tees.
