At the end of those 71 rounds, I would look back to see where I could have possibly saved a couple of strokes to get to the dreamed of 69. Kinderhook was great and wouldn’t mind playing again at all. Old Kinderhook is a favorite and Bear Creek Valley is such a hidden gem. Across Hwy 54 from Old Kinderhook is Lake Valley which is a nice course. It has 6 each of par 3's, par 4's and par 5's. East of Camdenton is another fairly hidden course called Deere Chase which is probably less expensive than some of the others. Margaritaville (old Marriot Tan-Tar-A) has a course called The Oaks which is very hilly. Lodge of the Four Seasons has 2 courses similar to The Oaks. Osage National has 3 nine hole courses and designed by Arnold Palmer. North of Camdenton to Laurie you have Indian Rock. I have played all of these courses but it has been several years for some of them. Probably the best thing would be to look at the individual websites. Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Time again for the Thursday community therapy session… Always a good ,safe space to share our group addiction to golf. Staying will the safe space theme… Informed the tiara wearing totalitarian that I have to run a golf errand before engaging in the newly minted work-out routine made mandatory by the Princess of pain…. Might of forgot to tell her that the golf errand was playing at a different course a couple of hours out of town. Should give me 8-9 hour reprieve from the clutches of my dear drill instructor damsel. Been close to a 1/4 century since the last time I played this course. Having a tad bit of apprehension at seeing how well the course has aged. The great restaurant that I use to frequent is still open and owned by the same family, looking forward to eating there after golf. May those joining the community call have a great time in sharing information and support. As I engage in the husbandly survival tactic of running away, running far away just remember… Sometimes, science sounds so scarily like a certain omnipotent wannabe wife that I am very familiar with.
