Yep, just to add on what @EasyPutter @cksurfdude and @GolfSpy_APH mentioned. Plans for the 2024 outing are still being made, I along with the help of @Getoffmylawn have been doing a lot of information gathering to find the best combinations of venue, location and price for next year. One thing to slightly correct what Easy Putter said, the past two outings were not just Regional Outings, they are open to every forum member regardless of where they live. It just happened that they were both East Coast. Research for 2024 has literally encompassed coast to coast locations. We hope to have something to announce in the next couple weeks at the latest. But I will drop a few helpful thoughts for people to start thinking/planning. While we don't limit the size of the group we typically start with a estimated size of 16 to 20. I think we had 12 in Maryland and 16 in North Carolina. So initial spots may fill up fast, if so we will reach out to the course to add more spots. It'll likely to be a 3 day, 3 round deal, arriving on a Thursday departing on Sunday, with 18 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. An option to play 36 on any of those days will be up to the individuals at the time. Feedback from the last group was 36 was a lot for some in the group, and took away from the opportunity to enjoy casual down time hanging out with the group. While a date is not confirmed yet, you might start looking at your calendars for late May. Once announced deposits will be needed right away in order to confirm your spot. A variety of proposals have come in, and they range from around $600 per person to $1800 per person, to include all golf and lodging. Rest easy, the $1800 will not be selected. So look for something right in the middle of those two as the likely package. Lodging will likely be cottage or villa style. Villas that sleep 4 or cottages/house that may accommodate 8 to 12. There may be a mix of single rooms and some with double rooms--separate beds of course, but we don't judge As I said more to come soon, but that should give some information for those interest to start thinking about it. MH15
Morning all! Daylight savings is that time of year where my golf season starts to wind down, sadly. Luckily, this year I have MGS and a Golf Digest subscription to fuel my golf needs for the next ~5 months of less course play. Additionally, I plan to go to a newly opened PGA Superstore a few times a week to use their sim for an hour. The price isn't too shabby at $30/hr for your own bay. Going for the first time tonight and getting to do some data collection on the Titleist White Box should be fun. Popular Post aguybadatgolf
Good morning! I likely have played my final round of golf in 2023. I tore my ACL playing basketball about a month and a half ago. My surgery is tomorrow morning and I will be pretty immobile for the next month or 2. My amazing wife and brother wanted to end the season for me with a bang. They took me to my favorite course in my area (Fossil Trace in Golden, CO) that I have only played 2 other times as it’s kinda pricey. I played one of the best rounds I have played this summer. Shot an 87 which is tied for my second lowest score. Not being able to play my other sports really made me appreciate golf even more. I picked it up a couple years ago and am hooked for life! Walked 18 holes, felt good to get out & get some exercise. Temps got up over 75 by 10am, just perfect weather. Used the Titleist Test ball from White Box testing. Will put up my first impressions on the White Box testing page. I will say, I like the ball. Cover not durable, but ball has a good feel. Busy morning, voted on the way home. Now working from home. Dead Solid Bogey
Traumatic Tuesday be gone…. Really late to the thread my fellow spies. The work location was not that bad. Have a couple of young, real young crew members on this location from the Dallas Metroplex area. They try, but are/were out of their element, so much so, that they thought an inquisitive coyote was a stray dog. While packing to come home last night. The family enforcer call. She berated me for not ratting myself out about my physical issues on the last day of the tournament. Evidently the wife of another tournament player called the wife and asked how I was. The wife person demanded to know what was wrong with me… I told her that I am old and married; WRONG ANSWER! Somehow, when I got home this morning, the wife had managed to get me into see her bee keeper / medical doctor. I got the once over, an am slated for tests and labs tomorrow. Told the bride I would give her Wednesday for the medical scavenger hunt. That Thursday, come what may, I am starting my new affair with my new wedges. To be clear; if I thought that there was something wrong with me, I would have taken myself to see a Medico after the tournament. I had just finished doing a 19 hour work/driving day without any medical problem(s), when I got home and had the medical appointment handed to me …. RANT/VENT over I am very interested in following the “ meet up thread “….. While doubtful that I will/would pass any vetting protocols to attend, this will be fun to follow. Tomorrow is Wednesday, the you know what day. May you scale any obstacles with the ease of making a 2 inch putt. cksurfdude, sirchunksalot, Josh Parker and 3 others 5

Hope that your day is the best that it possibly can be, no matter what is in your plans, and that you may also do something golf related as well. jbern, MattWillGolf, Josh Parker and 8 others 11 Quote Driver & Fairway: Titleist TSR3 10 degree - Ventus TR Blue & TSR3 15 - Project X Hzrdus Smoke Black Hybrid: Callaway Apex UW 19 - Hzrdus Smoke Black Irons: Titleist T200 3G (4) & T150 - (5-G) - Project X LZ Wedges: Vokey SM8 54, and 58 Putter: Cameron Phantom X 7 Ball: Pro V1 & Maxfli Tour
Josh Parker
Good morning! Long night of off and on sleep. My daughter (2.5yo) woke up several times screaming and she ended up in our bed. Somehow I was still able to secure my spot but was kicked at the rest of the night. Haha. Plenty of things to get done today and on the house search for some clients. Make it a good day! EasyPutter
Good morning MGSpies from an it's frigidly cold but no frost this time Wednesday in WNY looking at the computer going online for the workday slog from basement mission central, garbage cans already rolled to the end of the driveway. Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Mid-week my spies… May your slide into the later part of the week be as fast as +13 stimpmetered green. Headed to do labs, sans coffee. I am about as cranky as a sleep deprived 3yr.old… The wife person says that my behavior this morning is a disservice an insult to 3yr. olds. Wanting all the labs and exams to come up without any major problems found. Mainly because I don’t want to have anything wrong with me and partly so I can play 3 yr.old again, by telling the wife.. “ Told you SO “. Unless I am institutionalized ( wife’s go to fantasy), I will be spending Thursday initiating my affair with the new wedges. Have a good day my friends and only engage in adulting if there is no way around it or an alternative. Edited: The blood letting is over. The SHE being has me sitting in the corner awaiting the proding, poking, and fondling to come. On my second cup of coffee; her highness, is insisting that the coffee has me DEvolving from a 3yr.old to my normal cranky old man behavior and social demeanor…..Told her; “ Don’t Care “ ( How’s that for a 3yr.old type answer )… Edited November 8, 2023 by Dead Solid Bogey GolfSpy_BEN, jbern, BallsLeon and 7 others 7
Popular Post ParFore74x
Good morning spies! Beautiful 44° to start the day with temps heading for mid 50s today. No extras to do after work today so putting practice has been penciled in after work. Enjoy your audit today @sirchunksalot, we are having one tomorrow so my supers will be starting the running around phase today. They tend to call me over to help out with this or that quite a bit on the day before and then tomorrow will be a relaxing day for me. Preeway
Good morning everyone. Coffee in hand so hopefully that’s enough to make it through the first half of the day. Going to take something stronger to make it through the second half. We’ve had a few heavy hitters in the school out on suspension so the last couple of days have been much more peaceful. They begin to return a few at a time today so by Friday we should be back to normal. Looks like a roller coaster finish. On the bright side, our boys won their first game in blowout fashion. Now just have to keep up the momentum going into a harder game on Thursday. Then hopefully some golf this weekend. Hope everyone has a great week ahead. BLD7
Good morning spies! For the first time in a while I did not swing a club yesterday. It's that time of the year here in Michigan (middle of the mitten) where actual playing of golf at a course is fleeting. Most of my swings are now inside and I'm transitioning to maintenance and pseudo training mode. So the superspeed system will get dusted off today and I'll ease into those workouts. May each of you have a fantastic day today! jbern, Preeway, cksurfdude and 6 others 9 Quote Driver: Titleist TSR3 9* | H2 track setting | C4 hosel setting | Fujikura Ventus TR Black 6X 3 wood: Titleist TSi3 15* | T track setting | B4 hosel setting | Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 7X 5 wood: Titleist TSR2 18* | C4 hosel setting | Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 8S Hybrid: Titleist TSR2 21* | B1 hosel setting | Fujikura Ventus HB Blue 9X Irons: Titleist T100 Black | 5-P | True Temper AMT Tour White X100 Wedges: Vokey SM9 Jet Black | 50.08F, 54.12D, 58.08M | True Temper AMT Tour White S300 Putter: Scotty Cameron Champions Choice Button Back Newport 2.5+
