Popular Post Shapotomous
Good morning fine folks! Working at the estate today, not sure what they will have at the top of the priority list, it always seems to shift around. A few weeks back I had what i thought was an original idea for their downspout runoff. Instead of ugly pipes to get it away from the foundation that the mower guys always seem to hit, i suggested using bricks i had reclaimed from the property. I was working on it last week and found this as i dug out the sod to recess the bricks. I guess it wasnt an original idea! I pulled them up, put down a liner, relaid them at a better level, extended the run, sloped it correctly and the rain over the weekend gave the newly laid bricks a good test. Reports are that it worked well. I hope to leave there about 2 and get a few things done around here. Got to enjoy some more lake time with the family as my parents are in the area staying on a like so it was nice to visit and relax. Not to mention some of the humidity dropped out of the air. Looking a little less nice on the weather today but looks like minimal rain. On the countdown to vacation and next weeks forecast so far has started to look better so hopefully that keeps going. Not sure there will be any golf today, but may sneak out, but lawn does need to be mowed. @BKervin I started using Finger Ten gloves over 2 yrs ago and really like them for rain & for regular use, especially in summer time when ones hands tend to sweat a bit more. Popular Post Kenny B
Good Morning everyone!! Hope you had a swell Monday. I got my 60º wedge bent 2º flat at our only golf store; friend of mine works there, and I told him it was an emergency!! No charge, but they get a lot of my business... e.g., the two pair of NB golf shoes last month. My wife left very early for her round with the ladies; sent a text that the pitching and putting greens were top-dressed, so there goes my plans to work with the wedge today. Now I'm thinking about heading to our arguably top public course in the area where I can spend time on their huge, very fast putting green with lots of slope. Tuesday is senior day ($50 with a GPS cart, normally $75); maybe I can get on as a single. If not, at least I get to spend time working with my wedge and putter on nice greens. Hope everyone has a great day!! Oops! It's afternoon back east, and some of you may have already had a bad day. Well, there is still time to turn it around just like making the turn to the back nine... new game!! Popular Post Golf2Much
Goooood morning all you MGS's out there. I'm hoping you all had a better late night/early morning than I did. Tuesdays are early morning golf days for me. Late last night, my beagle Scout wanted to go out. As we got out the door, it just started to rain. Scout doesn't like the rain and promptly turned around to head back in. Between the slightly wet steps, me twisting and Scout pulling, I fell, and face planted on my front steps onto our concrete porch! Sort of stunned, I looked down and there was some blood. I got inside, looked into the mirror and this is what I saw: Luckily, I didn't have my glasses on as it would have been worse! I spent the next two hours with ice on my face. This morning, no golf and off to urgent care to make sure there was nothing more serious. Again, luckily the cat scan showed no acute damage and only the remnants of past nose injuries. That included a bunch of years of basketball elbows and being hit directly on the bridge of my nose with a golf ball. The urgent care nurse practitioner cleaned out a few pieces of embedded gravel, cleaned it up and bandaged me up. Hey, the rest of the day has to be on the upswing after that right? When we got home from urgent care the microwave was beeping saying we needed service. Great! Off to YouTube to see if there's an easy fit. My only hope is that the fall knocked some golf sense into me and I play better come Thursday! chisag, ejgaudette, GolfSpy_SHARK and 13 others 1 15 Quote Ping G430 Max driver 10.5 degrees with an Alta Quick45 gram senior shaft Callaway Epic 3 wood, Project X Evenflow Green 45 gram senior shaft Callaway GBB Epic Heavenwood, with a Mitsubishi Diamana 50 gram senior shaft Ping G 20.5 degree 7 wood, with a stock Alta 65 gram senior shaft Ping G 26 degree hybrid, stock Alta 65 gram senior shaft Callaway Paradym X irons, 7-AW with Aldila Ascent Blue 50 graphite shafts Edison wedges: 50, 55 and 60 degree, KBS Tour Graphite A flex shafts Putters: L.A.B. Popular Post ParFore74x
Happy Wednesday spies! Overslept my about 20 minutes this morning. Not enough to be late for work, @sirchunksalot, but enough that I had to rush through my morning routine to make it to work on time. I’m not even sure that I tasted my breakfast. Hope everyone has a great day!! Popular Post EasyPutter
Good morning MGSpies from a gorgeous summer early on this Wednesday in WNY, hot coffee and zero commute day in the basement office, next tee time tomorrow and hope golf is a part of your day Sorry for the short greetings this morning - with the fan noises of dehumidifier and circulation fans keeping it comfortable down here, had a fright when wife came down to tell me something, thought I was alone until she apparently went from talking to me to a shout, horrible shock to a combat Veteran GolfSpy_BEN, ejgaudette, Rickp and 14 others 15 2 Quote Derek Verified Hack, ~21 handicap Golf for exercise and peace of mind. |> Big Dogs: First Strike Rattlesnake (10), TeelessTM (13), Tommy Armour TA1 3h (19), Ginty Trouble Club (29) |> Blades: First StrikeTM DeliveranceTM 4(23) 5(26) 6(29) 7(33) 8(37) 9(41) P(45) |> Wedges: Worx (55) Lovett (59) |> Flatstick: L.A.B. Popular Post GolfSpy_BEN
Good morning All, played a new course yesterday that is just down the road from work. It was nice, more importantly, it was inexpensive. So I think I’ll keep it. Have a great Wednesday!
