Popular Post Preeway
Good morning everyone. One last loop at Arbor for the week then some time off for golf the next few days before the family heads to Lake of the Ozarks for our annual family get together. Knew doctor visit scheduled for tomorrow and a sim bay as reserved for Saturday so I can get some data on the Velocore+. Going to use the OG Ventus tonight and again tomorrow morning. Then using the Velocore+ on Friday (same course as Thursday) so should have some good data from that to share as well. Hope everyone has a great day ahead! That's the trifecta! Hope that's all the bad juju out of the way. The great thing about today's society is everybody has cameras everywhere. If your doctor's office has a security team, talk to them, otherwise talk to who handles their video surveillance and ask for them to research the time to see who hit the vehicle. Definitely. File a police report ASAP! Some may say it's a nuisance for us, but I can tell you from a fact that it will save you in the long run if you have to file a claim. 15 minutes ago, Erin B said: Good Hump Day morning to ya spies! Popular Post William P
Good Wednesday morning everyone! Won't even talk about the weather today as there is no change... Had a great anniversary dinner last night and I enjoyed it. How do I know this, because she told me I did... In all honesty, she's one of the smartest decisions I've ever made, and I really don't remember what the other one might have been... Well, the show has started with my wedge order. FedEx shows them being delivered at 1:30 yesterday afternoon and the pro shop advising that they were not received... Didn't really have time to get into it yesterday so I will tackle that issue this morning. Happy anniversary Jamie, @GolfSpy_APH. Best of luck on your exam @ILMgolfnut. Popular Post jbern
Good morning! Started working earlier than normal this morning so I can leave early to take the kids to their gymnastics and ninja warrior camps. They're located about 45 minutes away so it puts a pretty big dent in the evening, but the kids absolutely love it! Back in April, Sub70 was having an $85 wedge sale and I purchased new 54* 286 and 58* JB Full Groove. I have yet to put them in the bag, but I'm going to a course over the weekend that is notorious for having the fastest/firmest greens in the area. So I'm putting them in the bag for some new groove spin! I'll try to remember to post how it goes on the equipment thread. Have a good day everyone! @RichL85 - Sorry to hear about your F-I-L. I will be praying for him and the whole family! @GolfSpy_APH - Happy Anniversary and happy Chinese food day! We had Chinese food at our house yesterday too, which is rare. @ILMgolfnut - Good luck with the exam! Don't knock all the sand out of the bunker if you decide to practice those! haha @Josh Parker - Which mini are you getting? The TM or Callaway or other? @TJ Hall - They say things happen in threes... smooth sailing for you for a while! @Byrnzee - I probably missed it, but how did your rounds at Arcadia go last weekend? Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good morning all and happy Wednesday! @JJBack and I posted our best score of the season last night in league and were in position to shoot a much lower score. We had birdie looks on 3 of the first 4 holes, with me hammering the first attempt past the hole. Perfect line but hit it too hard. On the second look, remembering my hulk smash antics on the first, I left it 3" short . The other two were longer attempts but makeable, we just didn't convert. Greens were rolling slow yesterday which is unusual for our course, but we've gotten so much rain that it shouldn't have been a surprise. Also played with a really fun group yesterday, so it was a great evening. Things started to click last night, Justin saved our butts multiple times on par putts and was rolling the rock super well. Playing at Wild Rock this afternoon and super excited for that as it is my first run there. Popular Post tdroma98
Good Wednesday Morning Spies ! Well attempted to walk 18 holes this morning, but due to torrential rain last evening, 4 1/2 inches dumped on the course, they decided to close just as we were about to tee off at 7 am. Warm morning 79 degrees and clear skies at 7 am. I did get some much-needed practice in; chipping & putting. I used TheStack putting app routine. It's pretty cool, you play 18 holes and TheStack gives you different distances & breaking putts for each of the 18 holes. NO 3 putts and overall a Good session! Finished off the thermos of Espresso - couldn't let it go to waste, and just poured a double! May not be able to work solely from home today, but it was nice to get an early start to work. Popular Post Shankster
My wife and I hit our breaking point yesterday. We fly out to Hawaii on Sunday. Still a lot of logistics left, like the final cleaning of the house, shipping the car, getting all 7 of us + the dog on the plane, figuring out how to get all 8 of us to the airport… kind of a nightmare honestly. Our biggest hurdle was likely cleared yesterday. We have had multiple people interested in purchasing the house, accepted an offer only to the zoning people ruin it. But… in normal Shankster family fashion (last second wizardry), someone made an offer yesterday that we plan on countering slightly to, and we will be taking a loss in the house, but that is just the nature of the beast when you get moved a year early, and 4 years early than expecting to leave the area. And in other news, I still have my coffee pot. ️ random Pacific Dunes photo… jbern, rkj427, StrokerAce and 16 others 13 5
Popular Post Shankster
I ended up in the fairway bunker closest to the green. I set up for a cut off of it only to hit the straightest drive of my life. At least it was 300 yards, made par. Popular Post Shankster
I will say though, the 3 guys I was paired up with… one of their caddies told me that since I was a “bomber” and my tendency is to fade to set up for a cut off of the bunker… I was going to anyways because there was an enormous amount of room to the right, so I blame him for ending up in the bunker. Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Going to get grueling this afternoon with the Wild Bunch. Temps will bump up against 110 again with not much wind and a fair amount of humidity. But, as @cksurfdude so aptly put it "its kind of what an old retired guy does". @Cfhandyman That really was a great game 7! The Bobs was a wall. It was a fun game to watch. Oh, and your work in the LAB DF 3 along with the other testers has me aiming at putting an armlock DF3 in my bag. Happy anniversary @William P and @GolfSpy_APH Diamondbacks beat the Twins last night in a good close game. We saw Buxton go "yard" last night. Boy that man can hit the ball hard. Tonight we head right back down to that light rail stop. A block away from where Chase Field sits is the Footprint Center where the Phoenix Suns play. Instead Robert Cray and the Doobie Brothers are warming up their guitars tonight. The Doobies still have 2 of the original members so it should be a good show for all of us old folks going to see them play. I turned the Claw glove inside out to have a look at the construction. I do not know about you all, but if I get a golf glove that rubs part of my hand raw I simply throw it away. The Claw gloves have a nice feel to them and I found out why. Here is the link to the why... First actual post... @StrokerAce That is a fine setup. Woke up before my alarm went off and decided to review the requirements for my test. Not study; review the requirements. Two forms of ID required, if they don't meet their standards you aren't allowed to take the test and forfeit the fee. Fortunately my DL and passport both meet the standards. I think. Anyway, five hours of fun upcoming. Might have to go hit balls afterward just to decompress. A little bunker practice wouldn't be a bad thing either. For now, coffee and oatmeal. Hit 'em straight and hope your day is less stressful than mine! Test over. I had forgotten how stupid this test always makes me feel. Stuff I used to know but forgot, and stuff I've never seen before. It's the fifth time I've taken it in 29 years, and may get to try it again in 10 years if something else doesn't intervene. Then again, I may get to try it again in September. Meanwhile, my car again decided not to start after the test. Finally got it going on the 5th or 6th try and came directly to my dealer to get it checked. This has been happening intermittently for a month or so, usually after prolonged parking. Parking today was less than 4 hours. And I'd rather get this resolved before I get stuck somewhere in 95 degree heat this summer. Or can't get home from the airport in 3 weeks.
