How many different grips are on your clubs?

I enjoyed reading the similar thread about different shaft models. Was wondering about people's habits with grips?

Mismatched? Play what's on the thing? I probably have one of the stranger equipment setups in this regard I'm guessing. I've always gone by feel. If I hate the feel I change it, when I buy a used club with a grip that feels good in my hand I play it that way for seasons and seasons.

The result is I have 6 different grips (7 if you count my putter) to go with my 8 different shafts. 

Not just models are different, but I have variety in sizes and textures now since my 52° came with a midsize wrap I really like for wedges and put the same on my 48° and 56°.

1. Superstroke Traxion tour 2.0 on putter

2. Iomic X evolution 2.3 on driver

3. Lamkin Utx standard on 3w

4. No1 pro 50 black standard on 5UT

5. Lamkin crossline standard on 6i-PW

Woods and Hybrids: Golf Pride Tour Velvet

I’m satisfied with my putter’s grip. I liked the feel of the my old putter’s Winn Dri-Tac, so I thought I’d try it on my utility club—jury’s still out on that.

My brother has smaller hands and swears by his midsize grips, so I thought I’d try it on one of mine. Of course, the most reliable way is to try out various sizes on a launch monitor … until that happens, I’m okay with trying them out on the course. Part of the fun, I suppose.

I thought I’d like the MCC Plus 4 grips the most, but honestly, the Lamkin Crosslines end up being my favorites. They’re old faithfuls.

Okay sorry 3 with the putter which is the standard oversized Strokelab Putter grip. 

All midsize as well. I have tried to go back to regular and it feels awful haha

I will be down to something like that eventually. I have Iomic grips to put on the 7-9i and 4W, along with CP2 wraps for the PW and AW, sitting waiting. I'm just too cheap erm frugal to put them on until the old ones are worn.

I doubt I would change the Lamkin UTX because I think the Grey color is really sharp with the steelfiber shafts and the hybrids play so well it's crazy to change anything about them.

Putter - Stock Ping grip

Driver and Hybrids - Iomic

3 wood - Golf Pride

Irons -  Golf Pride

Wedges - Lamkin

Putter - Seemore branded; not sure of OEM.

Note Hybrids through PW will soon be switched to GP CPX

I color coordinated my iron grips/ ferrules with Lamkin iLine new old stocks. Theyre very similar to Iomic grips and they really last. Navy with light blue tops. Same grip/ferrules on wedges

Putter : Lamkin Deep etched Chorded on Odyssey and Grip Master leather paddle on Exotics

Driver and woods GP +4 tour velvet

Hybrids: GP cp2 red/black

I'm surprised at the number of different grips.  I have Golf Pride CP2 Wrap-mid size, on all clubs, and Winn I32 on my putter.   I also do not change equipment very often, so rarely am I inserting equipment with different stock grips on them.

I'm surprised more people aren't like you, from past conversations I've had most golfers were about having as much match as possible, or so I thought

All my Irons wear the same 5+ year old golf pride Tour wraps, Driver has a newer GP Tour wrap as well, Woods/Hybrid have what came on them stock as well as the putter, and I just put on a GP Tour Velvet on my SM7 60* as the old one was mangled by the previous owner.  So quite a bit of difference I guess

I'm close to bumping up my # if I order a new utility iron custom I will likely try a No1 50 black. I just think they look really sharp and I'm leaning towards a steel pvd black finish kbs tour v 90 shaft so I think they'd look great together.

Right now:  five.  I tend to keep grips that came with the club as long as they are playable then swap them out.

Driver:   I didn't count as it's a backup while I wait for a Ping G430 Max.  GP MCC:  stock on my gap and lob wedges.  GP Tour Velvet Plus 4:  5 wood and sand wedge (replacements), GP CP2 Tour on my irons.  GP Tour Wrap on my 3 wood (as it goes in and out of the shed club purgatory when it doesn't work) and a stock LAB 3 degree grip on my putter.

Overall, I'm the happiest with the CP2 Tour grips.  I play 150 plus rounds of golf a year, without wearing a glove, and they have been in great shape for over five years.  I just wish they had a flat top that allowed my Shot Scope sensors to sit flat.

I have Karma Velour Jumbo +1/16 on driver through LW and a Superstroke 1.0 on my putter.

They are great.  Put them on a couple of years ago and I just wipe them down occasionally.  No noticeable wear.

Agreed on the iomics. A wet towel on them brings them back nicely. 

I could imagine complaints about the color grips "wearing out" if they were never wiped off, as the white one and red ones I had seem to pick up a black coloration the more I use them with a glove. The sticky black armor 2.3 show no signs of wear whatsoever.

So all swinging grips are Lamkin Sonar Tour Wrap Calibrate with 3 wraps of tape, Putter is Lamkin Deep Etched in Blue with I think one additional wrap.

As a one-grip company guy, it's my OCD and need for uniformity in feel that does it for me, even though I am a glove wearer. Lamkin has just always been my company for the most part, and I feel super comfortable with them. If the old Victory grip from GP was more readily available though... oh boy.

I am probably the odd guy, but I do wear a golf glove on my left hand.  Perhaps I am a little obsessive compulsive, but I like all my clubs to have the same grip, except for the putter of course.

... Right there with you. Glove or not I would always use the same grip on all my clubs. Why bring in a variable you can avoid?

Update: I'm now down to 6 different grips, plus my putter. I replaced the stock grips on 7-AW today.
