Congratulations to the Winners of the Titleist MGS PGA Championship Contests

Hello I received my Titleist 18 degree five wood. I want to thank MyGolfSpy and Titleist for the great club! It has the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 70 gram shaft in 6.0 stiff cut down .25 and Golf Pride MCC Black grip. Beautiful club.

First impressions: 7/10

The package arrived with the club wrapped very securely. The package included a packing list with all the materials and settings of the club. The club looked great. The head cover as expected by Titleist was very clean. They also included a tool to change the settings on the club. I did deduct points because I had asked for a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 70 gram shaft in 6.5 Xstiff, but my second choice was the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 70 gram shaft in 6.0 stiff. They sent my second choice. Also this is a five wood at 18 degrees, but the head cover says 15. It isn’t a dial so you can’t change it.

Aesthetics: 10/10

This is a beautiful golf club. Very clean and sleek. I prefer the smaller head of the TSR3. At address the club screams to be hit.

On Course : 20/20

I did not hit the club on the range and just put it straight in play. First shot ever with the club was 236 into the wind uphill. Hit a cut to hit the par 5 into two! Second shot was a draw 245 and just missed the green on the left fringe. This club is longer than my PXG 17 degree hybrid. I had the club set neutral and never made any adjustments. You can see there are many opportunities to dial in fade or draw bias and loft and lie. 

However, I never needed to adjust the club. I continued to play five more rounds with the club. I could move it left or right at will. I also was able to use this club off the tee and hit a nice high looping draw about 255 around a dogleg. This club fits nicely in distance after my 3 wood. 

Good, bad  or otherwise: 17/20

The good is that the Titleist 18 degree TSR fairway wood is easy to hit. It goes far and has great workability. The club is great looking and is farther than my PXG 17 degree Hybrid. The bad was the shaft was my second choice and the wrong head cover (which I replaced with a craftsman head cover). 

Play or trade: 20/20

This club is a keeper!  It has replaced my PXG 17 degree Hybrid in the bag. So, now the line up is Callaway Paradym TD driver, PXG Gen 6 3 wood, the Titleist 18 degree TSR fairway wood, 22 and 25 degree PXG hybrids, Callaway Paradym 6 to AW irons and Vokey SM9 54 and 60 degree wedges, PXG BATTLE READY II 
BAT ATTACK PUTTER with M16 shaft. 

Conclusions:

Thank you again to MGS and Titleist. If you are seeking a mid to low handicapper fairway wood I would highly recommend giving the Titleist TSR a look. These clubs are easy to hit and have excellent workability. They have huge amount of adjustability if required. Lastly, they are a great looking club. Final Score : 74/80

@Ben Joest I just traded in a Titleist 14.5 degree 980F 3 wood. They were good looking clubs back then!

Great club @Javs. Two days later (living north is hard), I received the first prize. A Driver TSR2. That a great prize. Enormous thanks to all the people of MGS and especially to @Golfspy_CG2 for making all of this happen. Of course, thanks to the people of   for offering such great prizes! Gonna do the try out tomorrow and start the unofficial review.
