So tell me, how BAD was your day?

With a wrenched shoulder, and very bad stomach, I stunk my way to about 10 over my cap. Couldn't turn, couldn't do much of anything. Had to stop at every pitstop. Was the most uncomfortable round in recent memory... I wish I never got out of bed....

When you feel like crap, it's very hard to hit the ball period.

The only good part was my new $10 garage sale rossa Daytona sport 6 looks like it will be a keeper...

Sorry you had such a bad day, but I am wonder, +10? Is that terribly unusual for you? I say that because 10+ for me is an 85. I have been +10 and -7 from my handicap during the same week. I have also chugged along right at my handicap for a week at a time, and recently played 8 consecutive rounds at or under par and an 88 on the 9th day.

 

I am just curious if you are a very consistent player or a hot and cold player. I hate being a "Streaky Player". But what can I say, there are days that you just do not have it.

Handicap system throws out those bad rounds anyway, nothing to worry about.

38, 48! I felt like I couldn't swing my way out of a wet paper bag on the back. It was like all the strength in my back and shoulders left me. And I only had 12 putts on the back to boot!

Last week I shot 9 over in a private round and the following day 28 over in a tournament Go figure!

I managed to score a bit cuz I putted ok, and I had a few good chips up to kick ins. Full shots were the problem. I was all over.

Pretty consistent lately around a +\-78, today was a dogfight to 86. Once I got close I was ok, but getting there was like one long root canal... Without the short game, I would have been in the 90's easy

That's an average of 4 shots/hole, which is not conducive to good golf, but damn, to keep your head in the game for 1.33 putts/hole?

Well, that 48 includes 4 penalties The putting stats look great, but really it meant my chipping was on. I'll take what I can get.

Well considering the pros have rounds with 10 or 15 shots over their normal at times, it's not really earth shattering for us to do the same thing.

My intent for this post wasn't to say, "omg, the impossible happened and I shot xx, I think I'll commit suicide"!

 

But rather, " well crap, I had one of those days where the left side wasn't speaking to the right side"

 

And then to break down into a gently weeping self pity party, and then everyone else can have a quick laugh at our boo_hoo session...

 

Kind of like the "how was your day" except on the other side that you didn't really enjoy... Like we all have occasionally ...

I feel your pain. Ever since getting back to MN a week and a half ago, I've only been able to golf the past two days and they've been absolutely atrocious. Getting used to the different grass has been a large part of the issue, but I've had something funky going on in my swing too.

I have been Having some lower back soreness for most of the year, I am still managing to post decent scores in the low 80's, but I feel like a could and should be in the mid 70's, the pain really shows up in the Long iron shots because I can't rally make a good turn to the ball, I am starting to hit those better lately though. I am chipping and putting well, but full shots suck.

Last week if I could have hit a shot between 100 and 125 I could have shot about 75, but lets just say if you need someone to dig a hole for you to plant some flowers I would be glad to come over and take some full wedge shots and you will have plenty of places to plant. Crazy game this game we play.

Put up a 10 on a par 5 over the weekend did to losing some balls just off the fairway in some dense clover in full bloom. And I was sober on the course which made it that much harder to accept. That was definitely the worst hole of the weekend aside from dumping two in the drink on a 138 yd par 3. First one was way off line and my fault. Second gust of wind from the gods left me on a slope at front of green and it was so dry it rolled down in. On the bright side I still got around in under 100 for the first time with the new swing the instructor has had me working on. So ill be back at it again later this week.
