I'll be hitting you up for two of these, but I need to update my WITB before I do it. Thinking one picture I'll link to my WITB and one picture link to the golf cart. The more I see others using the pictures the more I realize it looks way nicer than a huge pile of clubs in my signature

His username is Manbearpig or MBP. Noone has ever referred to him as Pig, nor have I ever seen him, in writing or otherwise, refer to himself as such.As I said, Man & Bear are as much a part of his username as Pig, and neither bring the negative connotations. There is zero, none, redeeming or positive images that the word pig bring to mind. And even if I bought into the "last name" bullsh*t, that would be like someone addressing me as "Jacobs." The last time someone rerred to me in that manner, by my last name, was when I walked off of a football field at the age of 23yo. I, nor anyone I run with, refer to people by just their last names. It's just not very nice.

 

It's not flattering and I don't find it cute, and I know that he's fully able to speak for himself, and I'm going to refrain from asking you how you would feel if someone referred to you as Pig, "affectionately" or not, cuz I have a feeling that for the sake of this discussion you'll say that you wouldn't care.

 

Well, I would. Someone would use that name once. I would ask to please refer to me by any number of names, though it would be in their best interest not to use that name with me a second time. Unlike baseball, I don't give three strikes.

 

It's just not a nice, flattering name, whether it's meant that way or not. I would not refer to anyone that I cared about by that name, even if every other person did. I would give them a new name, or nickname, and refer to them by that.

 

It's a frickin username, not a birth name to be broken down with first, middle & last name, lol
