I've often wondered about ladies and men's club head differences.  Are all manufacturers using the same heads for both?

A lot of times yes but some use different lofts for men's and ladies heads.

Had this book recommended to me during my last round by one of my playing partners. He was pumping me up about how good some of my shots were, and that I could really benefit from routine/mindset to execute more often.

Revamping the top of the bag.  Picked up a new Titleist TSR2 Driver September of last year which hasn't even seen action yet.  Now looking for a 3-w...me being me, I like having all the same manufacturer for woods so it will probably be a Titleist 3 wood.

So while iam far from a pro I feel my game is improving and single digits are weeks away and a tweak to my irons has helped the mental aspect of the game and routines have absolutely been my biggest strength in getting better!! We try to make our swings "repeatable" but what about pre shot and the way we do everything related??? It really helps to develop a technique!!!

It was a hot market for a few years. Seems like it fizzled out a bit in the last year or two - still some action on certain designs / rare covers, but Swag (probably the most popular / highest value) bought another cover company and started "over-producing and diluting the market" (controversial among collectors and people trying to turn a profit, yet hilarious to watch from the sidelines). To be fair, I do have a lot of covers from a lot of companies including Swag, but for just about every one that I bought, I had some intention of using myself because I liked the design.

I see what you did with the Iverson reference!!! Wonder if he thought his take on Practice??? We talkin practice would still be alive and used for all kinds of things 25 years later???

So this just came in.

I was online over the weekend, minding my own business when this ad came in. Callaway PreOwned having a sale. I figured, couldn't hurt to go look. I didn't want irons or a driver at this point, but there was one club I've always wanted to get my hands on. The UW.

They had a Like New version with a great shaft (HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 70g 6.0) at what I thought was a great price. So, what the hell. I hit my woods and hybrids so well, let's take a gamble and see how it goes.

It arrived today and to my surprise, the heads was still shrink wrapped and the club did actually look brand new. I can't find a single impact location on the face from a ball. No issues on the crown. Even the grip doesn't show signs of use. The only signs I found were some light rub marks on the shaft. But again, I was looking for it.

So I'm looking forward to getting on the LM and seeing how it flies.

I have bought clubs from Callaway pre owned and I think they wrap all of them as both that I bought were wrapped and as you said when they say excellent they mean excellent as both I bought showed zero evidence of ever being hit!!! Great dealer

Yeah, I picked up a Super Hybrid a few years ago and the face looked absolutely perfect. It had a small "rub" on the crown, but you had to get it in the light just right to really see it. They're a great place to buy from, especially with their sales.

I would be willing to bet the description stated blemish possible too as I have never heard anything bad about that dealer!! I also had really good luck with 2nd Swing!!

Correct. If there are no changes to the finish, it is 95% of the time the same head. Any color or loft change or denotation that its for woman, then leave it alone. 

For example with TM, the M4, M6, Sim lines are the same for men and women. Stealth series differentiates. 

The 2023 Adams Idea Driver I currently use had a womans shaft so I was able to get it for around $100 mint. Just popped on my Ventus shaft and TM adapter and good to go.

So February was very much a club ho month for me.

Starting Feb. 1st. I received my Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max 10.5 Stiff. 

Let me tell you. I absolutely love this thing. I don't have any official numbers but a side by side 2 round playing one ball each with my AI smoke and my Stealth drivers, this thing helps me stay on the fairway (or close to it) much better. I tracked about a 5-10 yard difference if I hit a slice/fade. I have it down to 9.5 degrees with draw bias and the weighting set to draw and I am seeing great results. I wouldn't say it's giving me much more yardage wise, maybe 1-3 yards here and there but definitely much straighter.

Next up, I was tracking some bids on ebay for a new hybrid. I opted for the Pardaym X 3 hybrid. Only cost me about $145 for the win.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten to test this bad boy out much other than into the net in my back yard. While testing it, I actually tore my lat muscle. It had been bothering me awhile, think I had a small tear already but pushed it too much. Can't wait until I am healed up enough to get out and see how this baby flies. It felt great on the 10-15 shots I hit with it. I love my Titleist Hybrid but I don't use woods and needed something with a little more oomph.

Lastly and the part I am most excited for (who am I kidding, I am pumped for all of these). I have a buddy who tried out the Birdie Golf Design Irons. They are blades that are much friendlier. I shot a few with his and really liked the feel and have been wanting some blades. I broke down and bought a 4-PW set of BGD OG Collection. $325 for a full set. I will report back with findings when I can.

They are honestly beautiful. I actually got them with stiff shafts and 1.5+. I have only gotten to hit about 10 shots as my lat is still not recovered enough. It's killing me to not be able to get out and hit them. I will say that I hate the grips but until I can get out and hit them on the range, I am not going to switch them yet. My grips are Golf Pride CPX standard and love the feel. When I felt I hit a pure shot with these, it felt like a knife through hot butter. Super excited.

Nice find dude! I found my old original spin milled 60 and 56 about a week or so ago in a box in the basement from one of my moves when I was in the CG. I’ve been using wedges my father in law had around the house that were Boley’s he was done with. Best thing is the grooves on both are still sharp and the 56 is almost mint . Lost them right after I got the 56 lol.

I was lucky enough to get a new driver (TaylorMade SIM 2 Max-D) at the end of last season for free. I gave away my old driver to a kid and I'm now realizing that I don't really LOVE this new driver, am I crazy to start thinking about buying a new driver before I mess around with the loft and shaft on the one I have now?

Thos BGDs are clean, hopefully soon you get to put them to the test. The AI Smoke design is growing on me as well. Great pickups

Id say mess around with the settings as I find the SIM2 stuff to be up to par with the stealth series. Havent tried the v2. But if its just a bad vibe thing, you can of course trade in. I had a driver I hated the look of cus of a scratch or skymark that wasnt mentioned in the listing. Hated looking down to that and it wasnt an easy fix. In that case the vibe just had to go

Nice dude; definitely an upgrade. I've got a 56 coming too. I forget which # Vokey that is, but it looked super clean. I didn't realize how well people took care of their dirt and sand pickers lol

I picked up a driver shaft from the a few years ago and the grip still had plastic on it. Their prices are pretty solid. I constantly browse but haven’t gotten anything from them since

The rental driver I played with was a Sim 2 max and I actually really liked it. The first few swings were a massive adjustment. I normally play a 60gram weight class x flex and this was a 50 gram regular flex. After I took some really smooth slower swings with it I was smashing it. I definitely lost yardage but overall it was a very nice driver and I’m looking on 2nd had sites for a backup driver

This is good intel. I feel like I'm hitting it way too high, so maybe de-lofting is the answer. Shaft also feels a little too "whippy" but adjusting the loft is easier and cheaper, so I'll try that first to see if it bears fruit.
